My ankle has only got worse since I last posted. I could use some more advice. I have hope each day it will get better but by now I don't think it will ever get better and I am about to start my first year of high school and I can't excersize to get my weight down. Someone I need advice.

Can you remind us about your ankle history?

Yes. My ankle has been hurting ever since a severe sprain in January 2015. The ankle never got better I had my first MRI and was put into a boot because I had swelling in my tendons. Well after that I got put in a brace and had physical thearpy. It did not heal so I had another MRI and nothing came up. Then I had blood drawn to check for a medical disease and had a steriod shot, Nothing happened and their was no improvement. Then we went to one of the best specialists and he said that he could not see what was wrong. Now I am here with still chronic ankle pain that is getting worse everyday.

I remember you. Sorry to hear of your continuing bad luck with finding out what is making your foot sore.

Please go to a counselor to help you cope. Its too hard on your own.

Ask for a dietician at the hospital to help with healthy food options and assist with ideas with weight loss.

Find something that makes you happy, eg. Music, reading, PS3 or PS4? Watch a funny movie.

Use the happy things to distract you from your foot. You need to try and create a time when it's not in your thoughts every second of your life.

Fresh air and sunshine are important.

    Keep looking for an answer.

    Try the following:-

*Try a Naturopath , one who has alternative remedies . Sometimes you can get a normal Dr who is also a Naturopath.

*Ask to see a Osteopath, who can look for other causes in bones, and muscles.

*Try a new physio and Dr. Keep going until you get answers.

Thank you. Me and my mom are trying our best. I am a full believer in the lord and right now I try to believe this is for a good reason but recently I have struggled a lot with my faith because of how much this is affecting my life and how God has not helped me. I listen to music and watch youtube plus I love ot write. I have been writing alot since the injury. Thank you for your support.

I found an article that may be helpful for you. Look up ( The Ankle Sprain That Won’t Get Better

By: George E. Quill, Jr., M.D. Louisville ) . You may need surgery to fix this . Is this your first ankle sprain or a recurring situation? A year and a half seems too long to have this pain.

It's a ligament issue( my guess) . Get a MRI scan and ask for the specialist who has knowledge of this fault . I've had a operation to repair the ATFL ( reconstructed ligament )

I sprained the faulty ankle which finally cracked whilst running

    Check websites

    for the medical procedure .

    Good luck !
