Sorry Tkr is major surgery.mhave you been in therapy ? Water therapy is easier to Walk thru and resistance from the water helps strengthen the knee tendons and muscles.

Also so a knee check with the doctor and pain meds to help you thruphysical therapy.

giving you many cudos for the strength to get thru TKR.

      Thanks for replying

I was in physical therapy for 2 months

Now I still do it at home

Just feels like I should be walking better by now

My doctor said my X-rays are good

Thank for getting back. I am releived to hear you have seen a doctor. What was the doctors diagnosis if I may ask? Was a knee brace or tens machine suggested for pain?

plz take it easy and on weekends stay off the knee as much as possible to give the body time to heal.

I do have a tens machine

I just started exercising in the pool

My knee is responding well to that

      Thank you!

Great to hear you doing all the PT. IT takes time for this to heal. See utube for demonstrations for exercises for your level . Many great PT examples online.

June, are you limping because of pain, or because you haven't got back into the habit of walking normally?  Is this a physical or mental thing?  Is your other knee OK or is that having an effect?  Or is it weakness in the operated leg?

      I think it's mental

I was limping for about a year prior to my surgery

If I take a bigger stride and do heel, toe, follow through I'm fine

But when I'm not concentrating I find myself limping

      The struggle is real😅
