Stomach issues

Hi there

I am hoping for some advice I am 48 and periods every 22 days lasting only 3 days now . I have started about 10 weeks ago having awful stomach problems burping acid reflux food takes ages to digest empty hollow feeling at top of stomach and a pain sometimes in same area and gurgling all over lots of saliva in mouth tooibs symptoms never feel like I've fully cleared my bowel go most days though. It all started when I was going through a really really bad time with anxiety and I wasn't eating much and taking diazipam every day that the Doctor prescribed. I have stopped taking the meds now only take as I need them as Dr said diazapam can cause stomach issues . I'm not so sure . Ive had a abdominal ultrasound and abdominal ct scan all clear except swollen adrenal gland and fibroid all checked nothing to worry about . Also had a ca125 blood test all normal.

My anxiety is so bad as keep worrying something very wrong with me . All I do is think abut my stomach all day which I know doesn't help . I'm on nexiem 20mg but really don't want to be on these long term.

Anyone else going through this .

xx

I suffered from stomach issues for years, doctors kept prescribing PPI or antacids to calm my stomach, saying its gastric reflux, anxiety and menopause, however last month i started losing weight, pain, nausea, loss of appetite, went to a private clinic for a second opinion. Refered for blood and stool tests and found i have H Pylori bacteria which causes these gastric symptoms and loss of appetite. I was put on a 14day course of antibiotics and PPI, i feel much better after the antibiotics and all symptoms have gone. Thank God i had further tests to sort out this issue.

I have been going thru alot of the things you were talking about . The acid reflux the feeling of not emptying bowels, and I go almost everyday. Food taking forever to digest. Along with that I am experiencing ALOT of pain in shoulder blades and in between shoulder blades and in my throat. Its like pressure and pain both. I was wondering if you have experienced this too along with your other symptons?

yes i get all those symptoms. The pain in shoulder blades is acid i think . its horrible. Acid reflux is the worst thing. i want to come off the nexium but everytime I try it just comes back full force.

Do you get the excessive saliva and drooling at night ?

do you still have your gallbladder? I am experiencing similar symptoms, and kind of felt like it was somewhat caused by not having a gallbladder anymore

I dont get alot of saliva at night. My mouth actually gets really dry. Do u have ear and throat pain with your acid reflux?

yes i feel my throat and ears burning a lot . its awful. what does your doc say about it ?

I had fluid behind my ears and throat was red so he gave me some antibiotics and nose spray. I take tums for acid reflux . it seems the other medicines make things worse when u get off of them.

tums don't touch the reflux with me . im desperate to get off the ppi but just worried it is even worse.
