Strange aches!

I know this has been covered in previous posts but suddenly, over the past month, my body has become much more achy.
I'm 59, and almost free from periods for a year, so, peri.
I keep fit, healthy and slim but have noticed my knees aching when I cross my legs, my body much stiffer than was, neck and shoulder pains which I can't seem to solve, aches and pains in my finger and thumb joints.
And insomnia, about which I've already posted many times!
Could all this be due to a drop in estrogen?
I do eat foods naturally high in estrogen like dried apricots and flax seeds, hoping this may help. Plus take magnesium, starflower oil and omega 3 daily.
Any more ideas ladies?
Thank you jx

Hi Jane sounds like a bit of arthritis possibly gout. Do you know if it runs in your family? Cold weather causes joint pain, but thumb pain is sometimes associated with gout. Have you tried Glucosamine& Chondroitin? This may help. I have taken it for joint pain for a few days when it goes away I quit taking it.

I too have been suffering with lower back lain, general aches in wrists, ankles, knees, neck pain today is very bad, maybe inskeot funny. This all started with a sudden muscle spasm after my Zumba class mid November, I see an osteopath regularly, but it's still bothersome, and I'm in HRT ( Mirena coil and estrogel)
not liking it one little bit! I am 52, and just over 2 years post meno, been using HRT since Dec 2015. I teach dance and dance fitness classes, so theses aches and pains are very difficult to to,erase! I'm hoping it's a glitch from spasm, and will settle down, I'm doing core strengthening and stretches to try to help. But the wrists, ankles, knees etc, have nothing to do with lower back and the pains I'm getting into buttocks.
