Strange symptoms reflux? LPR?

Hello everyone this is my 3rd post. Just to recap I have suffered heartburn for 12 years, currently on esompeprozole to control the heartburn which it does very well. However I have been getting sore throats now for 3 years. I've had an endoscopy, which was clear, more recently a camera into the throat and was told all clear. However I keep coughing up mucus which until now didn't cause me to many problems but once again all day long I have a burning sensation at the back of the throat which I haden't had for some months. I haven't changed my diet, I exercise as always but out of the blue it's back again. I keep going round in circles, apparently I was lucky to have the scope down the throat this time because I'd had one a year or so again. However they all keep coming back normal??? Can anyone shed some light on this mystery, thank you.

Hi Danny, are you on any other meds?  Blood Pressure meds?  ...wondering if other meds could be contributing to your issues.

Hi, not on any other meds. So no interaction from anything. Maybe esomoprezole isn't that great. Saying that I was on omoprezole for years and they stopped working as effectively as I began to get a sore throat on the left side.

This sounds a lot like a diet issue. Sounds like you either have a mild allergy or intolerance to something, or your body is simply backed up with excess acid and mucous from the food you're eating. What does your diet consisting of?

You should look to cut out gluten and dairy and see how you go. Eat more vegetables. Like I mean a lot (except potatoes).

I've changed my diet so many times, I've gone on reflux diets to virtually eating nothing at all, I got really skinny so decided to eat little and often. My diet now consists of oats, good fats, lots of lean meats like chicken, rice, occasionally potatoes, sweet potatoes. I've been on this diet for a while and my body was absolutely fine for a few months and now I'm back to feeling acidic with a sore throat

I sounds alot like LPR to me.  Excessive mucus is very common with this and I too, had the scope done.  The only thing the dr found for me was the trouble swallowing and reflux getting trapped in my throat because he saids I need surgery to widen my throat.  Which I am a little leary of.
