Sudden Muscle weakness, Joint cracking and popping?

Posted , 40 users are following.

My age is 29, from the last 4-5 months I have been experiencing strange symptoms. All my joints are cracking, muscles are weakening day by day. It appears that the Flesh beneath skin is vanishing. Sometimes I feel mild pain while moving my joints. Mild nausea, previously I had bowel movement once in 3 days now it is on daily basis, it seems like the body is not able to properly absorb nutrients. I can see losse skin on my hands, arm pits etc. The strangest thing is that if I put flashlight under my hand then I can clearly see the veins, why the flesh had become transparent? Hair loss from all over body, especially from the scalp. 2 Months ago I gone through a number of tests and the only thing came up was Vitamin D deficiency (23 ng/ml). Montly dose of 200,000 IU was prescribed. Itchining on skin, it gets red too quickly. What all of these symptoms may meanm not that I do smoke about 10 Cigrates a day and slo take Tea 2 times a day. Furthermore I was not tested for Kidney and Thyoroid. Could there be any problem with these two?

I have the same symptoms. Mine started 1 month ago...most joints pop when move from my ankle knee shoulder to music wrists and even my hip. My main issue is now my knee has a soreness.

I had back issues for past year and went through discectomy on my L4 L5. Still have a sore back. I first thought my nerves irritation from my back is causing muscle weakness..but how does that explain my both knees? My issue was with right leg nerve being pinched...irritated..

I also have red lines developed around my noise and mouth. I think it is connected.

I have had blood in my stool which I noticed whenever I took spicy food which came with diarrhea.

I think it may be autoimmune disease? My blood test came all good though ( white blood cells count and etc

      Any ideas...thoughts? Diagnosis??

      Plz

      Hello jay,

Please go for a colonoscopy and tell doctor everything you feel. My thing started with a pain in my right lower abdomen. Colonoscopy will show doctor everything in your abdomen. Also tell him the root of the cause you think it all started from. Keep me updated and so will I. This is serious as I think it is either a parasite or an infection. Also don't think too much about it and it will destroy you, I know it's hard but try to keep yourself busy. Good luck buddy, a reply would be appreciated

Hi, I'm looking for some advice. My symptoms are so similar to yourself. Well, I'm 25 female, gave birth 8 months ago & still breastfeeding. Since the birth of my baby I seem to have picked up everything, firstly it was a week long bout of flu, then I got the norovirus, then more recently I had a sore throat & that's where the problems seem to have started. That was 4 weeks ago & since then all the joints in my body intermittently ache & crunch, I have dull aches from my feet up my legs & also in my hands & arms, i have had 'cramping' of the muscles pretty much all over my body but there's not really pain with it, I have also experienced a lot of pressure in my eyes, headaches, weight loss, feeling of weak, I also feel like my co ordination has gone awful & there's a feeling of being 'out of it'. Of course there's extreme tiredness too. I have had blood tests which have all come back fine. I have seen 4 doctors in 4 weeks, . Since I have been told the results were fine I have just been told I have anxiety & im 'making myself ill'. I get that having a baby & breastfeeding may add to the tiredness but it's all the symptoms that I'm concerned with, also I have no idea where now to turn!

    Can anyone help me?

I've been reading up online about autoimmune diseases after pregnancy, how do I go about being tested or being taken seriously by my GP?!

    Thanks

Grrrr! When will doctors learn to stop being so dismissive of patients! All I can tell you is that reading your post, it's possible that you've slidden into a case of ME/CFS. The sore throat is a red flag, and all the other symptoms also align with ME/CFS. Plus the fact that you had a bout with the flu. My ME/CFS started with the flu. This is a very common pathway into the illness. I then got a sore throat, followed by crushing fatigue. It sounds like you've had bloodwork to rule out other illnesses. So you're doing all the right things. However, 4 weeks is a very short amount of time in which to diagnose this illness. You've had a lot going on, and it is possible that with plenty of bed rest and pacing, your body will heal itself. So my advice to you is to do just that, though I understand it's hard with a newborn. Just keep in mind that your long-term health is at stake, and you want to do everything possible now to ensure that health. You might to give yourself a few more weeks of rest. Then, if you still haven't improved, see an infectious disease doctor or a rheumatologist, to investigate the possibility of ME/CFS. There is no blood test to check for this illness, but a competent specialist can diagnose you based on how you answer the proper questions. That is how I was diagnosed

Hi jackie00198 (or just Jackie!). I went through what you are talking about and completely agree this could be the cause. I went from running a succesful bar/restaurant working 12 hour days, running every day, socialising etc to becoming slow, tired, lethargic, feeling nauseas, and over the year have now lost nearly all my muscle mass. It took me 4 years to get diagnosed. kirsty13464 please don't take no for an answer. Unfortunately you have to be very pushy with GP's about this. I was eventually diagnosed with M.E/CFS and Fibromyalgia.

Do you also find it hard to pick up items? Do your muscles "jump" or twitch?
