Yay for you for not giving up! The first time is always the hardest! I usually keep cheese cubes (do you get babybel cheese - these are small round 1 portion cheese that usually comes in a net bag - 6-8 per bag) for times when I feel / felt woozy. That and water helps!
Now coming to salt, either have some warm water (in thermos?) and some bullion cubes (do check for carb content though) always with you - then you not only have additional salt, but also can up your daily water intake. In the very early days, I just tool a teaspoon of salt in ½ glass of water with some lime juice and drank it straight (making the most horrible of faces you can think of!!!)
But generally, if you take some additional salt (salt on butter on top of steak is really yum) or a sprinkle of salt on veggies...that will always help.
Once you are over the sugar detox threshold, you can go back to your usual salt intake per taste.
Seasonal veggies with moderate meat/fish/poultry is the best cure for most illnesses!
A big shout out for continued journey!

OK.....salt it is! I ordered some beef & chicken bone broth because you and I had the same face with the straight salt in the warm water.
A few intense panic attacks this morning...did you forget to tell me about those?????!!!!! 😃
I will say over and over and over again, I NEVER ever felt this bad in a long time if ever.
My sympathies go out to every drug, alcohol, sugar detox person.
I truly look forward to your posts and encouragement. AND you're just in time, you kept me from scarfing a whole box of white sugar cubes. ❤️

LOL!! Believe it or not, as soon as i switched on my computer, I thought, let me check if Jamie is doing fine!
Good that you are still on the straight and narrow! 😄
I know it is so effing tempting to just give up, but remember always why you embarked on this journey to better health.
Now coming to panic attacks - when I started keto the first time, I did get lots of panic attacks, but as I was also in the first stages of perimenopause (that I know NOW), it was all confusing and all-in-one miserable time for me.
Let me see if I can send link to a couple of web pages that are really useful and that I follow.
I am off for vacation next week....so probably for 7-10 days I may not be on this site, but will be thinking of you !
Hang in there!!

You poor baby! I totally understand the hormone fluctuations of peri! This diet also messes with your hormones giving a double-whammy!! I'm right in the thick of it too.
WISHING you a WONDERFUL vacation and safe travels and know I couldn't have done this without you. My work colleagues think I'm strange, all I want to do is hide inside a cave. No crowds, no people. I want to come out of this just like you.
❤️ ❤️ ❤️

You will!! Within a few weeks you will wonder why the hell did I make such a hoopla about it, it was piece of cake! But I know, starting out is scary and the most difficult thing!
😃 now in the middle of packing...SIGH, I will probably stress till I'm on flight on the second leg of the journey!

Enjoy your vacation!!! Sounds fun... There is a wonderful site dedicated to keto--- Even thou I'm not fully doing keto (someday I will try) I still like going to the forum to hear such inspiring stories about how much weight they lost or even how much better they feel...
