I also want to add, that at some point I forgot (from brain fog or maybe taking meds that didn't sit well with me) how to write. Literally, as if my brain was stuck and couldn't think of how to put a constructive sentence together after years of university writing classes. I couldn't even do any of my calculus practice lessons I use to so loved doing. But, in the last six months, I started reading a number of books, and I began to write. I'm happy to say that with practice of doing both my writing skills are gradually coming back.

I am glad to know that I'm not the only one with brain fog.? I to find it difficult to sit and sort my finances, the thought of it makes me nearly have a melt down.I also can't think of simple every day words, and have to dtop in the middle of.a sentence by times. And then other days I am rapid of the brain . 😀😀😀 it's so frustrating 😩 but I'm glad to know it so called normal. 😀😀

Michelle, I couldn't even write a check! That's how bad it was. Luckily, my hubby would write it out for me. Yes, I would get stuck looking for words that just wouldn't come out. It's all a part of the horrible peri process some of us are plagued with.

Well thank you so much for your info. I feel so much better already , known I'm normal.😩and I know I'm not even in the bad stage yet. I certainly don't have hot flushes. I am dreading the winter as I suffer from extreme cold, so much so it's like I freeze up and my muscle are so tense across my shoulders if feels like it's restricting by breathing. I either have to hover over my cooker or get in the bed to warm it up to get it moving again 😩 maybe I should go to the gym or something . But I just can't function when I'm this cold. So I'm hoping others have the same cold extremities so it's classed as normal . 😀

Michelle, it is normal. I still suffer from getting freezing cold a lot such that I turn on the blow dryer and heat my body with it or heat up my bed or take a hot shower.  I have to used like 3-4 blankets, only too have to throw them off once I get too hot. It's a never ending cycle.

You know i was like that before hrt. i had to pick the best time of day to try & do tasks that would require thought & concentration - like my finances, or writing a letter..... it was like something had blocked my intelligence or deleted processes from my brain at times!!! i ended up doing brain taxing things at about 1am as this is when i seemed most able to concentrate!!!  thankfully hrt corrected all this brain mayhem.

Funny you say that. I have often got into my book work at stupid o clock . 😵

I hear so much bad about hrt . I'm nervous taking any kind of tablets even vitamins. I would nearly want yo be tied down and ram them down my neck, without taking stuff that has bad reports.?😩😩

You say a hot shower to warm up. I wouldn't dream of striping off when I'm that cold. 😵😵😵😵. How long have you been going threw this. Or do you mind me asking what age .??

The whole anxiety thing even frightens me. By times. 😩😩💤. You seem to be coping well . So just wondering if you have just got familiar with the patterns.

8 years. As for the anxiety that's why I took St. John's wort because it levels out your hormones and stops the anxiety along with heart palps. There's also something called SamE which is also good for anxiety.

No, on the patterns, because you never know what's next. But since I have always been a strong minded person I wasn't about to let a little hormone issue take over my mind when I know it's not going to hurt me or cause me any danger. I just took it one day at a time, and looked for vitamins to take that would help which I'm happy to say everything I took helped in one way or another.

I'm not frightened easily, but educating myself with good medical resources helps to quash all the garbage the internet lies about. Inclusive my doctor was a great source of information. She would tell me advance what to expect and with that I was ready. She even suggested I try St. John's wort and black cohosh which the black cohosh didn't work on me at all after trying it for 3 months. But the St.John's wort worked almost immediately.

How about applying for disability, I know nobody wants to go on disability. But it you can get it, at least you will be able to focus on your health and be able to get some rest.

I thought about it and it takes awhile to be approved. I wanted to enrolll in for additional disability but it would have to be through our company and our CEO will not enroll us although the employee would pay for it. It would just need to be set up as a auto deduction through payroll. Im divorced and take care of myself so not easy for me. In 2012 I had severe ankle Injury which resulted in two surgeries and was supposed to be off 8 weeks, and took off few days
