Felling anxious/scared with those symptoms is normal, Nola.  There's a very good chance  you'll hear encouraging news from your cardiologist.  Treatment of these sorts of problems has improved dramatically over the last couple of decades.  I'm optimistic for you.

I am so sorry to read this. My doctor had me go off all medications 5 days prior. Did yours not request that. You should look Dr Wells up on the Internet. He is a specialists with this. Is your doctor a specialist? Hang in there girl. God has a plan for us all.

      Jen,

I was told to go off Bisoprolol 5 days earlier, but because this was to have been done May 31, I never went back on them. Nothing was said about other medications that I have been taking, only not to take day of. Yes my doctor is an electophysiologist.

How are you feeling? I did my follow up this past Monday and everything is perfect. The fluttering stopped and now I just need to stay active. Get my cardio in shape. Let me know how you are. I think about you.

      Hi Jen

Just got home from work. I work in a funeral home and we had a beautiful 2 year old little girl. Such a sad day ......

I have been doing okay. These meds for anxiety have really helped. I will be seeing specialist Aug 2 so hope to get some more answers. I am unclear whether he could not get my heart rate up enough to do the mapping, or he got it up but could not find the short circuit. So I am anxious to find out. Personally I think these meds calmed my heart to much, so it would not go into tachycardia. I only remember someone says rate at 140.

I am just so very happy to hear you are doing great. It must be wonderful not to worry VB about it anymore. My big fear is flying with this condition. Or bring away and having it.

Just thrilled for you. Recovery was not to bad eh ? My groin was slightly sore and had a far amount of bruising but no biggie. We just went up to our cottage for a couple of days and relaxed. ( I should be there this weekend but my daughter got dibs on it.......hope I do not get an phone calls from our neighbours up there ).

      Enjoy your weekend my friend.

I had my first racing heart when I was 15 and it was 350 bpm for 7 hours and it was the most terrifying experience of my life, before this I'd never had a problem, been super healthy. But now a year later, I am so much better (they discovered I had congenital heart disease) and so greatful they discovered it all when they did and were able to treat it all. I had two ablations and am scheduled to have a third as well as open heart surgery, and although everything seems terrifying, it was all treated and I feel so lucky to have got through it. I know how scared you must be feeling but I promise that your doctor will do everything they can to give you the right treatment for you! xx
