My appetite has gone this week too & I get the butterfly sensation in my tummy all the time. Yes sertraline do help eventually with everything it takes time & they have to be given chance to get into your system. I made the mistake of coming off them months ago when I started to feel ok so I've gone back on them now & will have to wait for them to work all over again. Other symptoms I get are ringing in my ears at nite mostly......I sometimes feel like my blood isn't circulating properly in my legs & they ache. I get blurred or vivid vision at times. The symptom that seems to stay with the most is the not being able to get a full breath & I have to force a yawn it's very worrying but I hear it's a common symptom of anxiety. What symptoms do you get x

I used to get the tingly hands & face but I don't often get that symptom anymore. It's hard to believe that anxiety can cause all of these bodily symptoms. I am a nitemare for goin on Google I just make myself worse. Xx

I have had numbness in my face & sometimes a burning sensation. I'm on sertraline only 50mg started them again a few days ago so just waiting for them to kick in. Beta blockers did nothing for me other than give me nitemares. Xx

hopefully the sertraline will kick in soon for you, they have given me diazepam twice in the last couple of weeks cos ive been so bad !they are the only thing that make me calm down but docs are very reluctant to give me them, yeah i reckon the beta blockers do absolutely nothing for me,its reassuring for me when you say you had the face thing too so thanku,i have it all the time and today its really bad,my doctor told me only when i accept my symptoms are caused by anxiety will they start to ease but i just cant im totally convinced its ms x

Yeh I had diazepam years ago I felt great on them but like you say they don't give them out much. I've been trying to get ready all morning but just don't have it in me atall. I think talkin to other people who suffer with anxiety helps because your convinced nobody else knows how your feeling xx

Im in the states,my doctor is the head of a large hospital drug dependancy program yet he acknowledgeds sometimes medication is a nescessity. Perhaps you should find a doctor who understands more how anxiety wrecks havok on peoples lives. This get on with it notion-even if hes the nicest man in the world shows his lack of understanding. I went for years with out meds til one day i had a health issue so bad that my anxiety and the illness were too much. So far he understands that i am a person that needs nedication. I dread the day he retires as some just dont get how it affects ones life and medication in some cases is the only thing that brings some relief and some degree of normalcy.
