Dramamine will make you sleepy! I recall you already have a bit of a problem feeling sleepy, this would make it worse.
For nausea I would suggest eating an apple, as a snack or as part of your meals. This would also help any heartburn or other acid problems related with the stomach. Diazepam does cause nausea and heartburn for some people, apples eaten regularly - one or two a day will help enormously.
I wish you well and all the very best with the withdrawal. I have recently come off Diaz. after using it for over 30 yrs for the relief of muscle spasms.
Warm regards

I can't say the withdrawal will be easy, sorry, you have the right attitude tho, you WANT to come off them and so long as you take the reduction in dose very slowly you will do it. By slowly I mean keep you reductions to once every 4 weeks, not any more, you could set a date for each month, easier than counting 28 days. I would also suggest the first one to cut out completely would be the one in the middle of the day, that one is kinda your 'top up' between starting your day and closing your day if you know what I mean.
Taking a drug out of your system is as hard as it was easy getting relief from the drug when you started taking it! I hope by now the reasons you needed it have passed / been dealt with and you don't need them at all, so it is simply a matter of not upsetting your body too much getting the effects of the drug out of you.
I hope also the sleep you do get is quality sleep, not just dosing. There are so many reasons for being tired, one being your body is needing it and / or trying to tell you smething. A good walk, even just an hour to relax is always helpful, gets fresh air in and takes your mind away from worries as you see the various distractions around you - helps me greatly lol.
take care and keep in touch, try not to be nervous !
Warm regards

I would say that you are needing that dose. Does the same thing happen before your due time for the other doses? Did you decide to come off the Lorazapm because you felt better and as if you no longer needed to take it - or were you told by your GP to come off it?
Regards

There is always another way round things, keep the noon dose is and start your reduction with the evening dose, that is quite a large one and the top up for morning is small compared to it, could you sleep alright with a smaller dose for evening?
Not sure at how the dose you take was arrived at, 22mg per day and what size dose is each tablet worth, plus of course how long have you been at this regiem.
Is there a reason other than your body is feeling the large drop in dosage at AM therefore feeling the need for a top up at noon, for you to have the palpitations and fatigue? Are you particularly active or stressed during the morning for example. Diaz. has a long half life, if there was a way to even out the dose over the day it may help with the reduction, so your body does not suffer such a large drop?
All that sounded long winded! Simply put, can you adjust your daily intake into even doses, or break it down further to four doses of 5mg, keep it that way for a month, leaves you 2mg to top up should you feel the need, 2mgs is not a lot to lose out of such an intake, but it will help and will balance things up a bit. You could take the 5mgs AM - noon - PM - bedtime, say 7am - 1pm - 6pm 11pm something like that obviously to fit in with your daily routine and what you do.
Hope you are not still being troubled by the nausea, have found some way to relieve it. Do you chew gum at all? All kinds of things happen to your body as you change dose on meds. and this can include a mettalic taste, which could make you feel a bit ifffy. Prepare for anything with your reduction Raymond, it is not going to be an easy journey to take. You need to be strong, patient and kind to yourself.
Always here for you with a plan B, a suggestion or two and to encourage you.
Warmest regards, hugs too !

I have done a complete research of the meds that I take daily ...and I found the problem, I hope ....I take atenolol 50mg and lorsatin for high blood pressure ...well the 50 mg of atenolol is suppose to be 100 mg this drug helps stop palpatations and aid in other things so I just took the 50mg more that I was suposse to take and starting tommorrow I will be taking the correct dose ,,,,I pray that this caused the problem, time will tell...

Well done x it is so easy done, we laugh with relief afterwards , now that one is solved you are back on course to reducing the benzo. and on your way to living 'normal' need to stay a little on the mad side tho to get you through life in general - yes?
I do hope you feel more relaxed and happier now, tis amazing what a tiny little ole pill will do to us, for better or for worse.
Hope you get a good sleep and wake up refreshed and rested.
Warmest regards

Embrase this time that you feel tired and sleep, the best way for the body to heal. Down the track and once near the end you MAY or may not but in my experience once your free of the Diaz you can have rebound anxiety and insomnia, I do and I would give anything to feel tired and sleep. So much addrenalin running thru the body from feeling lethargic, so trying to excersise as much as i can although it can be hard to even lift your head of the pillow physically but mentally my mind just races and is totally awake. So enjoy your slumber you have plently of time to live once your completly clean. Your doing well..Good on you. Nicola
