tessa in hospital

Hi Friends,

I havent deserted you. I had a massive bleed early hours of last Thursday morning and have been in hospital since then. On antibiotics and high dose of Tranexmic Acid. Had ct scan and angiogram. They worked on the idea that if they did the angiogram if they found the vessel that was causing the problem they could embolise it there and then.

Well he did, but it appears I've grown a cavity and there is a fungus ball growing in it and the bleeding vessel is attached to one in the fungus ball, which makes it a specialised job. So it's off to Hammersmith hospital again for me. Not sure when. eanwhile they are exploring other options that could help me.

Under a different consultant and she was on about surgery, but 5 years ago I came in and had all manner of tests done in the hope of being able to have an op. But was told it was too dangerous and that I would bleed to death on the table and that ga. Feel very confused, but when she talks to my old consultant maybe things will be a bit clearer.

My daughter bought my laptop in for the day so I could let you know what is happening.

Keep your fingers crossed for me girls. Hopefully it will only be a few days and I will be able to get back on and catch up on all your news.

Love Tessa.

Tess, It's been over three weeks now since you took so poorly, and that's three weeks too long. Every night I wonder how you are and what is happening, every morning I check the computer hoping to hear good, happy news. I gain hope from the fact that you have spent this long in Hammersmith before just to have tests, so I am praying it is something of that nature that is keeping you from us, or hopefully that they may be doing more for you than just testing.

As hard a time as this is for us (Jacee and myself, and I am sure many other 'regulars' ) I realize this is far, far harder for your family , so I send them our love and strength too. You have given so much comfort and so much of your strength to others on here over the years, and we now return that strength and comfort to you tenfold. We also send our love to you and to your family, and our prayers for your health to the universal source of all. Come back to us soon Tess, with love Vanessa xxxx
