Hi Ladies

I have been on my own dealing with peri menopausal symptoms for a very long time now.  Indifference from medical professionals and a strict clamped jaw policy from any woman I have tried to discuss this subject with has left me feeling utterly isolated.

I wanted to introduce myself and hope to be part of the community so I can share my experiences, give and receive advice and support.

I feel better already just knowing there is a community of women out there who are willing to be open about the fact that menopause is happening.  I have already learned a lot just scanning these pages.

Looking forward to more chats.

Hi DD, Welcome. This forum has been my lifeline on many occasions over the past three years. You can moan to your hearts content and ladies listen! Great advise always an email away to see you through this testing time. Take care. X

Welcome. This site was a godsend when I was going through my op and now menopause. Ask away even if it sounds silly. I bet you there will be others going through the same 😊

Welcome my love. I agree wholeheartedly with the other ladies. This site is truly a Godsend. Ive woken up with severe anxiety this morning been getting palpitations all night. They go for a while but last two days they are back with a vengeance.

Ive been in perimenopause eight years im now 48. Feel free to come here as often as you need to.

If it wasn't for these ladies I would have lost the plot a long time ago xx

Welcome DD, youve come to the right place, as Debbie says you can moan your heart out hear knowing someone, most of us are or have been through the exact same thing. I think our moans should be made into a book and every doctor should be made to read it too! At least now my husband believes im not just making up excuses lol

    Take care

What a fantastic idea. Just want to know do any of you ladies have palpitations or heart poundings. Ive had ecg and heart monitor and all clear but the last couple of days they are constant. Making me really depressed as it sends my anxiety through the roof x

I take a beta blocker to stop them Hun as been in hospital many times with them x Palpitations I mean xx

Thank you. Im going back to my doctor tonight. I have a funny feeling my iron count is low again. Just stopped iron as ny levels had gone bck up. But getting symptoms again. When I say palpitations when I take my blood pressure and pulse its fine. Between 65-80 at most beats a min. Blood pressure good also. Would that warrant a beta blocker as doc says its normal. Do you take them all the time x

I know they are horrid. Do you take anything for yours. I would say mine are more like I can notice my heart beat and become fixated on it. The most its been is 80 beats a min but it feels much more. Its stressing me out. I will get it for days at a time then it goes away for a while only to come back x

Im confused whether im menopausal or depressed or both! Docs say depressed but this has gone on for years never an answer sometimes!

I know it sure feels like that. My doc said anxiety but I know its brought in by perimenopause for sure x

That don't seem abnormal to me Hun mine Ranges up to 250 bpm when I'm in hospital they usually keep me in if it goes on longer than 30 minutes
    • Posted

Hi Hun how long has this been going on then ? Are you menopausal age wise x
    • Posted

Oh wow that is defo high. Are ur meds keeping it under control. Do they think thats normal for perimenopause or is it cause of your high blood pressure?

Really hope ur doing better. Mine is normal on tje monitor but sure dont feel it right now. This hormone stuff sucks x

I can't answer that Hun as I did notice when I was pmt it got a lot worse perhaps mine was at the worse when I went into menopause I really can't say but since the doctor at hospital put me in these new tabs it hasn't happened again. Your probably anxious Hun which increases adrenaline and will increase your heart rate slightly but being on a high response factor being with anxiety your really notice it xx
