The Truth of what the Coalition has done to 84% of sick and disabled claimants in the UK!

Hi Everyone,

I am a firm believer on how disgraceful disabled people have been treated in the UK with this Tory/LibDem gov't, I expect you to have noticed this has gone for far too long. I like many others will never vote for Tory ever, David Cameron is like they say a Devil in disguise, and even voted as the worst PM to run this country ever! This says a lot, not to mention the lies that the public have been fed making them feel depressed, etc. The media have also printed stories that make many disabled or sick people feel literally not worth living. To me, and many people I have spoken to on this forum and via private message, there is one thing that stands out is many cases and that this government has made so many people depressed and unable to cope financially. This should not be the case at all, the sooner this Tory coalition is out the better.

As you know the General Election in the UK is less than 100 days from us. A website that deals with claiments of benefits and work ran a vote over the past week, but it was not just a vote, they asked people their views on the current Coalition Government and how they have been affected, over the past few years not just financially but healthwise as well.

I hope you will vote in this Election just to demolish what the Coalition has done to us. We deserve better, David Cameron and his cronies are for themselves.

If you read this far then I urge you to read the following... if you vote.

I expect Les you will be pleased to read the latest headlines today:

"The Government has wasted billions of pounds on "damaging" NHS reforms which could have been spent on patient care, a leading think tank has claimed."

While I agree with most the comments on here regarding what the co-alition has done to the people of this country dont forget it was the Labour Party that started it all and it is not just the NHS the disabled and welfare that is suffering, The Co-alition is guilty of failing to deal with all the problems they were elected into power to deal with. This country is on the verge of imploding under its own weight of problems yet the solution is easy. They say we have a shortage of Schools, Housing, Policing, Prisons, Teachers, Nurses, Doctors,  Pension funds, Finance to cover Welfare issues,NHS and Hospital beds, Councils are expected to run according to Government directives and starved of finances to do so, Government seem to think all  problems can be solved with finance yet they keep crying they dont have any money so they take off Peter to give to Paul. When they think they have solved a problem they have not, they deal with the effect of the problem and that problem remains and comes back even bigger next time round. can anyone think of any perminant solution this government has brought us which is in reality not just a quick fix and robbed us of what it took years to build to create that quick fix. Government keep saying we have a 'population  growth problem' we dont, we have an immigration problem and that problem effects us all, those house's those schools those services have to be paid for by someone and thats you and me, Tell me, where does all the refuge continue to be dumped when the landfills are full, where does all the raw sewage go when the sewage plants we have can no longer cope, where do we get water when as in years gone by we had a hosepipe ban to get us through and now there are a few million more making demands on that same water supply, what happens when the electricity grid fails to meet demand and we are plunged into darkness. No friends its not just welfare and the disabled that are being penalised for 'population increase' its every walk of life except the rich. I laughted at PM's question time today, Cameron made his usual drivel of a speach,  did you know we have better education, why have we slipped down the international ratings list? did you know we have a better job prospect, when half the jobs are topped up with benifits or allowances of some kind because the pay is so low and this one will kill you, we have a safer community in this country.Young white british girls groomed for sex paties by certain groops, armed fights in broad daylight on the main streets of our cities and towns by gangs from the same groups (wolverhampton)  Le Rigby  bless his sole) Gun crime is soaring gang warfare and drug dealers every day occurances, child sex trade and slavery on the rise, I guess they dont report such issues in the Financial Times, I would like to make an offer to Mr Cameron, Mr Miliband, and whatsit Clegg and many other MP's who live on cloud cuckoo land. I would like you to give your wife or daughter or some other close female family member £10, have her dropped off on her own at a bus stop, without security or police guards, at 21,00 hrs on the outskirts of a place like Rotherham or Barnsley, Wallsaw or Birmingham, and tell her to make her way to the town centre on public transport, buy a bag of chips in the city centre find a place to sit and eat her chips and  then make her way back on public transport to the same place she began this journy. Then ask her how safe she feels in the community this and the last government has created for us. If they would be willing to take on such a challenge I will gladly pay the all the £10's out of my pension and little savings if any of them dare take up the challenge. The cutbacks and withdrawl of services we are all feeling are to pay for this fantasticly safe community and population increase . God help us. I am 68 years old and I hope I am not here when the proverbial hits the fan. good luck to you all.

    Hi Les ~ biggrin

You  have a great discussion going.  I cannot add anything to this as I'm in the US.  I can relate that in  many ways we do meet eye to eye as far as neglect of those who are disabled and the care that is needed for many...it's almost to null and anything we get, like Georgia said, we also have to beg for our care.

In any case, I'm back for the time being and hopefully I'll gain more strength to comment on these open forums.

    Take care all!

Well Frustrated, it's been awhile I must admit and thanks for your kind comments. Yea, we could do with you over here fighting our gov't - lol the more the merrier.

I know the illnesses we have try and kick us down, but we still come back fighting - it's hard to imagine in some of our cases. I've had one of those days today where it seems nothing seems to go right.

I apologised for snapping at someone on here earlier, but it's the meds again! The doctor said she wants me off Tramadol, even though I'm in severe pain 24/7, so instead puts me on slow-release Tramadol and up's the dosage by another 50mg!!! I don't know whats worse the pain or the side-effects of Tramadol. Then she said I never knew you were in so much pain! eek Gawd, makes me wonder sometimes.

      Regards,

      Les.

      Hi Les,

I really ought to stop being surprised by the medics  inate understanding of every situation. Quite amazing how their diagnosis can spring new born unsullied by any questioning and heart searching consideration. We are happy indeed to be cared for by such exalted beings far above the likes of mere you and me.

My oft repeated agony that made silence and dry eyes impossible appeared on the discharge report without any questioning as 'moderate pain'.

That is one way of being insulted I suppose. Perhaps it is taught in medical school since you have received the same insult.

      Hi George,

I'm going to open a new thread regarding my doctors visit this morning, it was a double-appointment, which basically meant 20 minutes - but my wife and I were very suprised when the doctor, took nearly an hour going through everything - and I mean everything! eek

      Regards,

      Les.
