    Good Evening All

Di I'm glad to hear you got the dresses sorted. I can't shop for clothes with my teenage children as it makes me so ill. They are so fussy and won't make a deccission. I wish you a good day at the wedding. I hope the chest pain gets better soon. Pleased to hear that John is getting sorted and that his bowel is fine. I hope your appt goes well at the hospital and you can stop wearing your sexy stockings.

Tess sounds like you had a good time. We go a week on friday for 9 days so am keeping my fingers crossed that the weather is good. We have spent many a good holiday at Chapel St Leonards as an awful lot of my relatives lived there. My Great Aunt died 2 years ago and she was the last for the area so last year found I couldn't go camping there. But we may well end up nearby this year if the weather forcast is good for the area. I'm sorry to hear about your neighbour.

Linda glad to hear you are trying to pace yourself not easy to do when you have to get things done. I hope the alterations run without any hickups. I hope Ann is ok and that it isn't swine flu. My sons school has had a few cases.

Lindy and Ses I hope you are both well.

Well i have never seen so much rain as we have had today. I'm worrid our pond may flood. thank goodness its at the bottom of the garden.

Yesterday i took my Mum to Manchester Airport and I wouldn't class that as doing too much but it quite clearly was too much. i have spent today feeling so tired and dizzy. What is it that makes us feel like this. Is it a malfunction in the brain ? I'm not in pain I just want to sleep.

    Take care all.

    Hi Lizzy, and everyone

I wish I knew what makes us feel like this, I wouldn`t say I`m dizzy but more a balance problem, a puff of wind would blow me over I`m so unsteady sometimes :!: Have had several falls but not for a while now. If we knew what caused it maybe we could manage things better. Have a review with GP next week so maybe I`ll ask him.

Ann has not got swine flu, thank goodness, GP thinks its a return of her childhood asthma and has put her back on inhalers. Said she should not be at risk so long as she is masked up when treating children. Only at risk if treating a child who is later diagnosed with the virus. So that`s re-assuring.

Have my uncle`s funeral today, so am hoping my Mum`s memory is ok and she can understand what`s happening.

    Hi Linda, Lizy & Everyone!

Hope the funeral was ok yesterday Linda. Good news that Ann has'nt got swine flu but not very nice for her asthma to return. Three of my children have Asthma. I have hayfever but luckily not asthma although if I scrape new potatoes make my chest tight especially if they are home grown like my neighbours. I have to get Stewart to do them.

Lizy hope you have a good holiday when you go and the weather is ok.

We have been to Chapel St Leonards twice on a site about a mile and half away from the beach. Thats been a site with no electric. We went there last on our Wedding Anniversary last year and Stewart cooked us steak on the barbecue with chips and peas.

Well I am not too bad a bit achy at times. Been feeling tired as got so much going on this week with going away Monday. Also sorting out for our Barbecue as well for our Wedding Anniversary. Both Stewart and I have been really busy.

Will be good to get away for ten days and have another chill out before party!

Hope you are doing ok Lindy, Di and Ses.

    Take care!

    Hi Tess and everyone,

Funeral went well, don`t have much family but was nice to catch up with a couple of people I haven`t seen for ages. It also showed up just how bad Mum is getting, she didn`t recognise Chris at first, then back at my cousins she asked would Ray be alright at home on his own (didn`t feel he could manage all the walking and didn`t want to use wheelchair!) then said it would be ok cause Ann and Chris wiould be coming in from work, they were sitting next to her on sofa! My cousin has offered to come and help get her bungalow ready for the new kitchen etc. so that was great!

Hope you`re not so stiff today, Tess, I`m in more pain than I`ve been in for ages and really struggling to get out of bed and out of the car! I`ve obviously not got this pacing thing right, cause however hard I try I always end up suffering in one way or another sad On the plus side the dining room is ready for the lift, so will have a good rest over the weekend then get our bedroom ready gradually :!: I still can`t see how I can fit in going to the gym to exercise to improve the fatigue if I can`t manage ordinary housework etc. I`m not houseproud but like things to be tidy, I think if it`s tidy it`s not so noticeable if I don`t manage to dust etc. But it`s a struggle some days to manage even that sad

Hope, Di, Lindy and Ses are doing ok and any tips from anyone on this pacing lark would be most welcome :!:

    Hi Linda & Everyone!

Yes sounds like your mum has got some kind of dementia going on! Must be worrying for you. Its good your cousin is coming to help with the kitchen take some of the pressure off you.

The last few mornings I have been feeling stiff on waking but have been doing too much really. Are you registered at the Gym? I must admit it does sound strange but since I have been doing my exercises at home I have had more energy. Its really hard doing them. But I make myself do them first thing in the morning before the others are up as always awake early. I started off one doing ten a day and now do forty of some of the stomach exercises lol. Even if the pain is there I still try to do them. Was given them by a physio. If you want can send you copies of them and you can have a look and see if there are any you could do. If you private message me with your address will put in the post for you.

Well got lots to do still until going away. Just done exercises so going to chill out now with breakfast and watch last nights Celebrity Masterchef Final.

Hope everyone else is doing ok today.

    Hi Tess and everyone,

Thanks Tess will private message my address for when you get back from holiday. Anything is worth a try.Lol Slept much better last night but as usual when I sleep longer I woke with a migraine, its as if there`s a person inside laughing at me saying ha ha you won`t feel better :!: Don`t know about everyone else but I never get a day when something doesn`t flare up and hold me back. Have a great holiday Tess and enjoy the rest :!: Will catch up when you get home.

Hope, you are ok Lindy haven`t heard from you for a while. Di hope you and John are making progress. Hope Lizy and Ses are ok too.

    Hi Linda & Everyone!

Well been busy all day getting ready to go away for ten days. Then at dinner time got a phone call from Stewart at work saying he had burnt his arm badly and was going through to A & E to have it looked at. He came home about four hours later and had burnt the skin off and it blistered badly. He has not got a dressing on it and a big bandage from his wrist to his elbow. We are hoping he will still be able to drive ok tomorrow. We may have to take more stops now as it is a 5 hour journey. He works at Mccains who make the chips as an engineer and went to repair a machine when it spurted out boiling hot water. He was very lucky it didnt get his face and neck. Poor Stewart it is going to feel sore and stiff tomorrow.

Well hope everyone else is doing ok and will catch up with you all when I get back.

Linda will send you those exercises as well.

    Take care

Hi Tess Linda Lindy Ses Di

Well i hope you are all well and enjoying yourselves.

Tess I hope your holiday is going well. I hope stuarts arm is getting better and not too painful.

Ses hope your appt went Ok and that you got some answers. I hope you are not worrying too much about your daughter. i know its hard not to, but we do have to try .

Lindy hope you are not working too hard.

Linda I can't get this pacing thing right too. Does this mean that if we want to do more than usual or have a good day out that we will always have to pay for it the following days.

We are off camping on Friday and I haven't done a thing yet. Normaly I plan at least 2 weeks ahead. The problem is just the thought of getting ready makes me want to go to bed and sleep. I also have another problem Rhuemi have arranged for me to have physio which I have done the exercises every day for the last few weeks, but it also means that I should have either 4 weeks of hydrotherapy or 6 weeks of thai chi. I was down for the hydrotherapy but I cancelled that as I really can't face being with a group of people, so they asked me to do thai chi but it still means time spending with a group of people which I really can't bring myself to do. I'm ok with the physio as its one to one. Does anyone else find they don't like group activities.

The dietition was really helpful she told me to try and keep off the restricted startches and keep a food diary so when I go back she will help me find a better diet. I also take fybergel 3 times a day and it was working well till last week and now my IB is really bad. Did you know restricted startches should be avoided if you have IB. A restricted startch sits in the bowel and is not broken down in the stomach. The foods involved are anything with startch in that has been cooked once and then re-heated or cooked again. Following foods are restricted startches Oven chips or any frozen potato product in this line, piza bases, dried pasta, cottage pie etc you get the idea. She also wants me to change slowly from the fybergel to golden linseed as this is much better for you. You only need 1 tablespoon a day and it works in pretty much the same way. Start that next week while on hols in case I get any problems.

The sun is out so i hope you are all making the most of it.
