I ask because I am a Personal Trainer and personally knew that I would be limited in movement and motion, that is allowing me to slowly gain confidence in my movements. I am roughly 7 weeks out and have done what I can to gain my range of motion mainly in my legs and back with stretching and moving them often. Pins and needle sensation can be a sign of poor circulation, that may be caused by not moving often and becoming too tight in your body, tightness and lack of movement will cause you to be weak. I would try as best you can to move your legs, even while sitting, do this in every direction while sitting. You would be surprised how much you can stimulate the legs and core by doing these simple movements.
I hope you can find a way to get into a better place with your recovery, I know it is hard and unsettling, but you have a community of people here that can definitely relate to your situation, I am finding that many people around me just don’t fully understand what I am feeling or going through.
Please let me know if I can do anything at all to help, youre not alone.

I get depressed from the pain also but you are still an inspiration to me because you are 5 months ahead of me! You've endured a lot but it has to be better than 5 months ago. I can't wait for my 6 months. It has to be better than where I currently am. I'm learning a lot though about recovery from open heart surgery. It seems that a lot of people suffer some form of depression. Just know that we are all going through it maybe not quite the same but to some degree. We all understand each other here. Reach out and share as often as you need to. We are here to lift each other up by sharing our experience and it could be helpfully to someone just when they need it!

Hi I am 55 years old . Have a thoracic aorta anyerisum. I haven't receive the results of my ultrasound yet. Go back to my cardiologist on March 6. My anyerisum is at 4.5 specialist says he will do surgery when it hits a 5.0cm. This is a very scary time. I can't return to work because of lifting. And it has been hard to give up. Please keep me posted on your journey. As I will do the same.
