threadworm questions and answers

Hi to all.

Here is my stori

About 6 months ago my daughter caught up threadworm from school, this is a not the issue however as she was treated and cleared within a fortnight.

I on the other hand took the medication mebendazole several times eventually taking it every day for a week, but to no relief.

After doing a lot of reading I upped the cleaning tenfold and took a papayaseed smoothie recipe that I found. This worked and for 2 weeks they were gone. But they came back in great numbers after that.they wouldn't bother so much but my children have been reinfected

So I tried taking the smoothie again and it killed some off but not all. So after a week I started taking de with a bulb of garlic every morning on an empty stomach. I got a lot of die off symptoms but that was 3 weeks ago and they are still laying eggs. They are in less numbers but still there. I put the de all over my bum at night which means I get a better night sleep.

I am currently eating a high fibre low sugar diet mostlyalkaline foods. I also take a papaya seed smoothie daily plus garlic and lots of de as well as cayenne pepper apple cider vinegar oregano vvitamins especially vitamin c.

The problem is they have moved. I can feel them in my legs and arms. I put tea tree oil all over my neck and nose at night to stop them going further than that. My question is should I stop the assault of and tempt them back only to kill them all of when they come back, or keep up the attack.

And don't even mention doctors to me they have been utterly useless saying just keep taking the mebendazole, or you will have to just learn to live with it. They think I'm delutional , they have sent me to a psychiatrist and they called social services saying that I was giving medication to my kids for no good reason and had ocd bollocks I could punch the doctor. If I am delusional then how come I've lost 3 stone was not big anyway bladder a lot weakerbloated stomach cramps I could go on, am I imagining that.

Anyway

Rant over I have learnt a few things.

Garlic kills of the eggs and I think it works better than cloves

I tested the de on them and I think it works better on the younger ones, just hatched worms die as soon as they wriggle older worms can get further.

I also read about using a dust mask but I could still feel them in my hair and ears so now I wear a pair of tights over my head while doing the washing changing beds and hoovering.

I am totally and utterly fed up with people that don't think parasites exist and saying mebendazole works fine. It doesn't its is crap. Its makes things worse.

After trying loads of stuff with varying degrees of success I contacted an alternative healer, she said parasites adapt and disembed themselves. [Disembed medical term for scatter outside of digestion] usually out of appendix causing appendicitis or through walls of intestines in some parasites causing untold damage and sending bacteria and pathogens to other parts of the body which can lead to infections ect

I strongly urge anyone having similar problems to visit an alternative health practitioner. I did she gave me a barrel loads of stuff to take and avoid and a some colonic sessions, and things are a lot better now. She confirmed the parasite, candida, as well as wheat intolerance and a few other issues, I hadn't even thought of.

And yes I could see them and my kids were getting them repeatedly.

I also advice people to use either vix vapour rub or olbus oil mixed with coconut oil constantly. And garlic paste first thing in the morning, I tried clove oil it works but not half as well as the garlic. Be aware they sting. This is important though. No amount of scrubbing will get rid of all the eggs.

I'm sorry but your alternative healer has no idea what she is talking about and I would dump her before she costs you any more money.  If you google any proper medical site you will see that the worms are confined to the gut and do not cause any infection.  On rare occasions they can be found in the lungs and ear and nasal passages, due to the eggs being so light and having been inhaled when air born.  On no occasion should you ever out anything around your anus to discourage them from laying.  The females lay outside the body, not because the new worms need oxygen as some people think, but because they can be passed on to another host and so not overcrowd their original host and increase the fight for food. Mif they cannot lay outside the body they will lay inside.  As they can lay up to a thousand eggs, this will make the problem much much worse.  If you don't believe me, please look for official medical websites who will confirm what I am saying.

Sorry Ceri 11959, but a lot of what your alternative practitioner told you is rubbish. we are talking about one kind of parasite only, threadworms, which live in the human digestive tract, the females emerging through the anus to lay their eggs. They do not pass through the walls of the intestines or cause infections in other parts of the body. If only the egg laying didn't cause such intense irritation around the anus we wouldn't be bothered by them. It's just unfortunate for some of us, seems to be mainly females, the medications don't seem to work well enough, making it hard to get rid of them. For me, I have cut out sugar which has led to losing a lot of weight, and take garlic, clove and pumpkin seed capsules, and Pyrantel once a week. Still not winning, I'm going to bother my GP again next. Good luck to everyone out there,

Hallo again all. I want to share what has happened.... I AM FREE! At least, I still get some itching at night, but it's OK and I can cope with it. I went back to the GP after over 2 years of struggle, taking all sorts of herbal remedies as well as 3 different types of anti worm pills, far too many, as well as all the cleaning, hand washing, worrying and stressing. Got referred to an infectious diseases hospital department, really thorough examination and lots of tests. Went back for the results, and had realised I was suffering worse when extra stressed. All tests negative, and suddenly I had a revelation: I don't have threadworms! Haven't had them for months at least. But somehow my brain and nerves were giving me the exact same feelings I had earlier on when I did have them. It has just been amazing, as since then the itching has almost stopped, and I don't worry when I do get it. So I do hope this may help other people... Your mind and nervous system may be fooling you, as mine did me. I was lucky enough to realise, but maybe something like hypnosis or psychotherapy might help others... I would certainly have tried something like that if I hadn't got so much better. So good luck to everyone out there.

Is it morgellons? I have been diagnosed with morgellons and have similar issues that you have! First few doctors said I had pycosis and gave me phyc drugs that I would not take! I found a doctor who understands that I have something unusual but does not know how to treat it? My doctor suggested that it's a sign of over all poor health due to diet and oral decay. I have learned to just live with it in the back ground and to live around it...if I focus on it too much then it's all I can think about...mine seem to be. Lumped together I. Cysts in my neck and jaw line. Now and then they come to he surface erupting the skin and causeing a huge amount of itching and that's when it's hard to ignore! Tea tree oil has helped me a grate deal! I mix it in olive oil and tiny bit like one drop and rub it on skin. I have not tried any rx meds since my doctor says that medications are still being researched... and is unaware of any that will work... seems like it's a situation where something has morfed into something new, like bacteria did with mrsa and dog fleas have over come the topical rx flea medications. I think we have a straign of a new organism. Maybe from genetically altered foods we eat? Or perhaps just from our changing world? Try not to focus on it too much! I have waisted years focusinnon it! It was horrible! Now I just let it go...and wait for one day it to be gone! Or help to be available!

    Good luck!

    1. The eggs and larvae are microscopic;

    2. Threadworms live in the intestines and exit the anus to lay their eggs, usually dying in the process.

While I don't doubt you are, or were, infected with threadworms, I'm starting to think you might also be experiencing delusional parasitosis onset by your OCD.
