This started a week ago at night I started getting ringing sensation in both my ears which persisted that night and wouldn't let me sleep went to the Ent department and got diagnosed as eustachian tube blockage as I had popping of ears and had to constantly swallow so that the ears feel better had a Pure tone audiometry done which should no hearing loss then had a tympanomarty which showed a bit increase in the middle ear pressure got prescribed with anti histamine and antibiotics any idea when the tinnitus goes it has decreased ro an extent it doesn't disturb but if I close my ears I can hear it anyone experienced the same?

Hey Kunal! im happy that you are doing great, in so little time

i have had the syptoms just like you since 6.5 weeks ago

i was wondering if you could help me with some questions..

    was your tinnitus constant?

you ears were popping only when swallowing?

Did you experience some sorta constant congestion?

Thank you, hope you keep on getting better smile

Yes tinnitus was constant in both ears

      Popping It increased on swallowing

And I there was post nasal drip which has decreased ryt now don't worry stay calm it will go if it's due to nasal congestion o any allergy

Was?? you are not hearing it anymore?

      the others Symptom also stopped?

      glad if they did!! :D

my ENT told me i have ETD and thats the reason of the tinnitus... im trying to deal with it.

but good to know your tinnitus was constant has mine, gives me hope.

      other question...

what did your tinnitus sounded like?

mine sounds like tv signal rolleyes weird.

      Thanks!

It's still there but day by day it decreases now it's already gone in one ear one it's very faint earlier I couldn't go in a silent room now I can seat in library for hours without hearing the noise only if I close my ears tightly I can hear the faint noise or may be this noise was der earlier which I never noticed only time will tell

Even mine was like the 90's tv sounds and had muffled hearing and increased

      sensitivity

If u can hear it put earphones and play some songs 50% volume let ur mind get distracted and tell ur self hang in there better days r gonna come 👍

Yes! i had incresed sensitivity too for a few days.

Yesterday i went to my ENT specialist and wants me to get and Audiogram.

hes 100% sure my problem is due to ETD, but he doesnt find good that the tinnitus hasnt stop at least for a few moments, i mean i have my good days like right now where i can bearly hear it.

but these past week was bad D: but i guess its normal to have the noise sometimes loud and sometimes really faint.

thats why i asked you if yours was constant or that if you had "total silent" moments

      thank you for your attetion,

i hope you fully recover really soon :D

      Hey Kunal!!

well...i havent done the audiogram yet.

my "ringing" has been constant still

      but Fluctuates a lot!

its been really smooth and low for the past 4 days,

      but last week was loud.

i hope it keeps on getting smoother.

      how about yours?

It's low still but sometimes I get anxiety and simply get scared make sure u get an audiogram done

this week its been the lowest for  me...

yes i know, but to be honest if i get the audiogram and its shows or not shows hear losss, the doctors wont be able to do much....

so im just coping with it...

but im being positive if its ETD it surely will go away with time :D

One day i woke up and my left ear felt blocked (just a regular normal day at home) and there was this noise that wasnt that bothering, i went to the doctor and he said it was my Eustachian tubes, i been taking nasal spray for 2 months already i have had highs and lows, last week that i went to the ETN... he said he was expecting more relief so now wants to see an audiogram, and if everything wents well... then he wants me to have like some sorta of surgery to unblock my nose?? so... i dont know what to think anymore hahaha

to be honest, this week has been great so far...

i dont have a runny nose, but everyday i feel like if i had the flu, very congested...in the nose area.

my ears pop and crack everytime i swallow.

and my constant 24/7 noise, sometimes low and sometimes loud like a 90s tv set.

      how have you beeen?

Ringing in both ears? We're u listening to loud music? For like prolonged time?
    • Posted

just the left ear, sometimes i feel like i listen to it in my head or right ear, but i guess is my mind playing tricks on me haha, just one ear.

and yes i used to listen to music, concerts, bars etc.

i dont rule out hearing loss, but to be honest... the way T appeared out of the blue during a free music , bar, weekend...all of the sudden...its what i dont understand...

Just get an mri scan and audiogram mri to rule out any intracranial causes audiogram to know if any damage is der

But after everything is fine I think we'll just have to learn to live with it, just make sure it not due to hearing loss as that might indicate u need to wear protection
