Tinnitus on Sertraline

Hi all helpful people! I think Sert is slowly starting to help and most side effect have fone completely gone apart from one.... TINNITUS! I am on 200mg and it feels like this is going to be my dose for this horrendous and long depression. I had tinnitus from the start (never had it in my life) and the higher the dose the worse it became. I am ok during the day when it's not quiet bit nigths are not nice. I can fall asleep but hate this constant buzzing in my head!!! I can't really change as it seems like Sert works the best and it has been my 3rd AD since APRIL 2018. Will it lessen with time? Will I get used to it? Any experiences guys? THANK YOU x

Usually these side effects subside in about 6 weeks. If they don't, consult your doctor. I had tinnitus on 50mg! It gradually declined, but it wasn't an easy journey.

Can you remember how long did it take for your tinnitus to improve? Has it gone completely?

It went completely after about 8 weeks 😃 I'm on Mirtazapine now for a different state of depression, but it does go. Consult your doctor each time you have a check up to be sure ok?

Did Sert stop working for you? What was your highest dose of SERT you were on? What dose of MIRT are you on? I recovered from depression 6 years ago on MIRT 45. I suffered from terrible insomnia then.
