    Hi Khippie

We all have those kind of days when you just feel dreadful, tomorrow will be better, but for now you need to find ways to make you feel lifted:

I found comedies or anything funny lifted the mood, a treat or two - some chocolate or a really delicious lunch, some fresh air even if you can only stand by your window or in your garden for a few minutes. Looking through brochures or web to see where your next holiday might be when you are better. All these things will help a little, mostly it is just getting through it and it is much better you share those days with others, as to not feel sad and alone.

Secondly the bleeding maybe coming from the back, I had the same and the doctor said it was quite normal with the blood thinners, so try not to worry, it will stop in a week or two.

In fact my operation did force my time of the month to happen even when it was not the right time, it is shock, and can happen. As can a hair loss and other strange reactions.

As rocket rightly says eating well is so essential, your body is doing so much healing and working, it needs rocket fuel!

A gentle day of hugs and comfort will make all the difference. It is the recovery, and it is its moments that is for sure. Big hugs, it will get better x

Hope you are already feeling heaps better; from a completely different perspctive (mine) it's really good news to hear from people straight after the operation, and how poorly they feel. I'm still waiting for the operation, my hip is only slowly getting worse, not even on pain killers yet. But, to read from others that have gone before me is brilliant. I know it doesn't improve daily, everyone has ups and downs, buit monthly you will just get better and better, stronger and stronger.

Two months down the line, you also will have forgotten the bad days and tell everyone "yes, it was simple...". To actually hear from you now, is wonderful for me. So please, don't think of it is moaning, or being negative, you are preparing the people like me, with the actual truth of the day to day, pain, worry and feelings.

I know you will soon be in a much better place, you know this too; take care, stay strong and speak to health care staff if and when you need to.

Take the rest your body needs, do the exercises as you can and expect the improvements to be easily noticeable each month ( maybe weekly) but not day to day.

Express all you want on this forum, we are here for you and surprisingly want to hear the real truth of what you are going through!

Go to keep your spirits up yourself sometimes. Do you have an android tablet? Nexus, Amazon Fire, etc.. Really good app. at "Showbox", download from google (not on market!), lets you watch any series from the past.

You need to keep your mind active, but your body rested. Comedy always a great option, try PORRIDGE !!!

Then " to go the whole hog" I bought an ANYCAST which allows you to MIRROR the phone to your large flatscreen TV.

Great for staying in bed and watching the shows you want on the screen each morning....

Ohhhh that sounds good - never knew that was possible . I have a feeling hub may like that gadget too :-)

Even better you can set it up to MIRROR lots of devices, android and apple. I think I paid £10 via GEAR BEST, but available on ebay too.

      Best of luck, keep smiling.

Ditto on the comedies for distraction and possible low blood pressure (faint, dizzy). I would ensure that you're drinking enough water/herbal teas (apparently helps with low blood pressure, besides the obvious benefits). I experienced horribly low blood pressure, also, presumably from the spinal block. For me, swelling in the operated leg has been alleviated by elevating that leg with two or three pillows, and for referred pain in my knee, one pillow under the knee. I'm Day 12, as well, and am spotting mid cycle (oh, jeez, thank you) - then again at 50, that's not a huge surprise. Looking forward to your Dr. giving you some reassurance. : )

Well, some say hormones steer the ship...and they've been brutally disrupted with the surgery, meds, etc. (not to mention, stress). Isn't this the most wonderful community in the world? I've received bad to zero support through my THR medical community, and 100% support through this site (and my husband and little guy). I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon this site!
