Tongue and mouth burning sensation. Anyone?

Well it started off about 3 months. It's better now. I have seen the Dentist 2 times, 2 ENT DOCTORS, on Thursday at Guy's Hospital and blood test. So far good.

Will it go and when?

I feel so down. Why left side mostly.

    Natallia, I can't believe I almost missed his post.  OMG it is horrible.  When I was in perimenopause, I wound up with the area right above my upper lip having this burning sensation.  Eventually it did go away.  

    Now in menopause it's the upper pallet of my mouth.  It has been on the left side, for a year now.  I hate it!!!!!   And yippee, I woke up this morning and there was a nice little spot on the right side.

    I find it interesting that Deborah mentioned this happened when she went on HRT, because this started immediately (within an hour) of putting on my first patch.  So I do know this has to do with hormones, and in my case, was created by HRT.  

    Any ideas from anyone on how to get rid of it would be helpful.

      Thank you for your reply. I think you are right. The burning gets unpleasant by afternoon and then gets easier. I'm fine at night only feel dry mouth and throat. I take some turmeric it helps to get rid of the burning feeling. I don't use any medication at all.

      What I find now that some of the little piles on the tongue kind of over grown a bit and tongue looks like meety if it makes sense.

      I can not wait to see specialist. Just want to know the answer. 😕

      That's what my tongue is like too. Am also waiting waiting to see a specialist. Have you tried a tongue scraper? I got one and find it helps a bit but don't overdo it!

      Yes, I am using it. I don't think ENT will sort it. The Dentist department even can not tell me when will be my appointment 😕it's not urgent.

      Hi there! One thing is good I'm going to see a Mouth Specialist on the 3rd of April!

      Still have it but mild. There are some days I don't feel anything at all like today ?.

      Also last month around 1 week before my period I had that burning quite strong.

      Also I wonder if it's suger related.

      Thank you, Ladies, for the advice to chew some chewing gum. It does work. Look like a cow but at least it's not there all the time.

      Any news?

      Hi,

      Just let you know ladies that all my mouth problems have gone! 9 months!

      White coat is there but just have to cleane it all the time.
