    HI

i also had a TKR on Sat, so we can go on this journey together. My knee has only just started showing the bruising, but i know it will be impressive from top of the leg to the bottom, some parts are already a very deep purple. I have only just come out of hospital because i had issues with low blood pressure and excessive swelling ( still cant get a stocking on the operated leg. The first night after the operation i cried myself to sleep because i couldnt move my leg at all! Things are beyter now ( even tho i cant lift it at all and have very limited flex (60) atm. I have some community physio coming tomorrow and an appointment next week- so despite the pain i feel hopeful fir the future. WE CAN DO THIS!

This is the start of a very long road. But there is no going back now.

You will have days when you feel you are doing better and then the next day you are back to square one again.

Sorry but that is the reality of it.

    Keep doing exercises and icing.

It takes about a year before you really begin to feel the benefit.

Sorry if that seems a long way off to you right now.

Take care and let me know your progress.

    Sarah xx

      thanks Sarah

today has been a better day, ive been icing all day and been very regimented with my meds and physio.

The pain feels bareable and there is a chink if light in the distance!!
