TVT Operations....How many of you have found this successful?
Posted , 62 users are following.
I had a TVT op five years ago, and had no idea of the problems some women had with this, until I read about them on here.
Could the women who have had this operation successfully please stop by and tell us how you are, and how long ago you had your TVT.
Thanks in advance.

To anybody considering this op, use of this mesh is now banned in America and for good reason as i now know, do not even consider this option, ive now had band removed after it eroded, im in constant pain with infections, it has ruined my quality of life and i feel so strongly that no one should have this mesh fitted, always uncomfortable but finally removed after 7 yrs and still the pain persists, i would love to hear frm anyone else in northern ireland with symptoms like mine. If u have band i hope u are one of the lucky ones 😘

Hi louise3633 I had the op in 2009 I had pig tissue (porcine) I believe its called. I am having same symtoms as people with mesh. have you heard of anyone else same as me me? Joint pain, groin pain, painful feet, cronic low back pain. plus the op I'm back to peeing myself have been for the past 4 years. Also tiredness. I had blood test done it showed something with my immune system which they never went into with me just fobbed it off. I would not reccomend this op to anyone if this is what the outcome is. What people should look at is the ammount of shops, stores, supermarkets, chemists all selling incontinence pads the shelves are chocker full so there is something seriously wrong with women. I know I was butcherd when I had my first child. Now I have this.

Hi I had my TXT procedure in 2000 somewhat a guinea pig at that time I think. I was very pleased with the result regaining continence. I did experience and continue to experience right Iliad Foss pain. I also have had three Right leg Day's with no risk factors which I wonder if there is any connection. In the last twelve months I have been experiencing severe bladder dysfunction and have been seen angynaecologist who just excluded a prolapse but hasn't carried out any other investigations.

You know Jackie I feel for u people who have suffered OAB and other pelvic trouble, I only had it 3 weeks, I live in the USA and did not like the idea of socialized medicine. However even if u have to wait a bike for some care u guys are allowed to have all what medicine has to offer. I can't even get my health insurance to cover Detrol LA
it will cost 100 dollars a month.
My urologist and Gyno dr never even mentioned it. I had a 400
dollar cysto and cured myself taking old steroids. I think u guys have it better with your health care system.

I had surgery the end on May. I hurt my back the beginning of May. In July I had back surgery. I feel better from that but have hip/groin pain and leg/ankle pain which is getting worse. It's a different feel than before back surgery. I'm wondering if I'm having tvt complications.
