TVT Operations....How many of you have found this successful?
Posted , 62 users are following.
I had a TVT op five years ago, and had no idea of the problems some women had with this, until I read about them on here.
Could the women who have had this operation successfully please stop by and tell us how you are, and how long ago you had your TVT.
Thanks in advance.

Very successful wonderful op for me 10 years on and now 65 .Been told by one or 2 to think negative and that there's plenty of time for it to still go wrong ! I'm not sitting around thinking like that I'm doing my walking yoga cycling and all the things I could never do 10 years ago without water pouring from me .! Transformed my life and have never needed that liner my doc said I might need .Very sorry for those it has not worked for and no idea why I'm lucky although I'm sure there are many more like me out there .I was real bad with incontinence before this op it ran from me and I too had tried everything when I did a 4 hour shift at work on my feet I woukd pad up and super tampax plug up and still have to change at least twice and still come away soaked ! I'm also sure that the arthritis in my thumb joints is wear and tear also toe joints from wearing the wrong shoes in the 80 s as these probs had started long before my TVT .Well once again I'm very sorry for all those who have suffered but I'm not one f them 10 years on. and thought I would share my story so far .

I had a TVT operation five and a half years ago. I had problems at first and had to have the 'band' stretched after the first week, but since then I have been fine. I was able to start exercising again without padding myself out with huge sanitary towels, walk without dripping and generally begin to live a normal life without the constant feeling that I might smell. I lost 1.5 stone in weight because of my freedom to exercise and having the operation has given me back a quality of life that I hadn't had for many years.
Whatever happens in the future, I will be grateful for the time I have been free of incontinence and hope that, should I have problems, something will have been discovered/invented that will allow me to feel as I do now.

8 bucks but it is the worse in drying u out. The Detrol had to be approved by insurance we have Medicare in the USA they approved it but it was going to cost me 100 bucks. Luckily I took some old hormones they were the problem. The urgency has stopped
