Uh Oh... some fusing and I didn't know it- HELP!

Posted , 13 users are following.

OH gosh gals - I have to admit i didn't now what you all meant by fusing for these last months - oh duh... my labia weren't stuck together and I don't have a partner, so... ugh well now I just realized that this "fusing" extends upwards from the perineum - ouch.

dang this LS is a tricky thing - just when you think you've got it handled... hanging head...

So can some of you please retell the tale of how you got the fusing to stop and reverse - natural methods/food/supplements etc... not ready to think surgery. Please and thank you so much.

Hi Nancy, sorry to hear that, it is very upsetting.

No one really knows how or when fusing occurs.  My theory is that it is likely to happen when you are sleeping.  What I believe happens, is that the LM becomes 'sticky'  (that is LS sticky) and that it then adheres to your vagina.  To stop this it is a good idea to always apply some kind of oil before bed as this eliminates that from happening.

With regard to unfusing, I think some women have had good results using Borax.  If you look at the Borax thread I know it has worked for some.

Personally, I don't worry about fusing anymore, because I think that is the path LS takes, and we will all likely get some fusing at some point, some more than others.   But, if you are able to stop it by using a natural remedy then why not try it.  I have simply chosen not to go down that path and feel less stressed because of it.

Thank you so much you all.  I"ve been using one of several oils everytime I go to the bathroom.  castor oil, coconut oil, and liquid vitamin E oil get rotated.  But you jsut gave me an idea guppy. I LOVE hot baths and all winter I had one every night with the borax/backing soda.  It's been so hot i've stopped doing baths... ha! I better get back to them (thank god for air conditioning!).   I"ve never made any of the spray stuff up that some of you talk about I'll give that a try. thanks

Steroid helped un-fuse me - it was pretty immediate when I started using it. It hasn't reversed it completely but certainly worked in the more recent fusing that had occurred. Also I agree with Guppy that moisturising is extremely important and borax seems to 'calm' things.

Ah hun sending hugs. Steroid cream and also try a dairy and gluten free diet as well as coconut oil or the likes before bed. X

ah, i've definitely gone cold turkey on sugar ages ago, and only use small amounts of raw cheese, I was using kefir for it's probiotics benefits but I have just realized that I really can't do that anymore, sauerkraut and kimchi will do the same job.

BUt what do you all think/experience about gluten/wheat? did you ever give that a good college-try?  I mean, have any of you actually proven to yourselves that giving up even ORGANIC(non-monsanto poisoned) healthy bread was what cleared up things? thanks for you time to respond you all...

I just found out from doctor and exam yesterday that I am fusing too, I didn't really know what it meant but I have a great natural path doctor and she showed me a exact picture of the female parts on her computer and explained in detail what was fusing where and where to put the steroid cream when I get it.

I have had LS for over a year but didn't realize what to do as my last doctor had me start on estriol cream which i only used once a week with fear of cancer but with new studies out that that is from oral only I am doing every 4 days now.  Also old doc had me insert Vit A tabs inside for a week to let naturally melt the oil inside and that did seem to work a bit.

But after my itching got worse I had my new doctor do exam. I found it interesting that the few places she found a white patch is exactly where I was itching the most.

I got prescription for steroid cream but my small pharmacy is not open on weekends so I will pick up Monday.

I heard somewhere else sometimes apple cider vinegar can help, has anyone heard of that?

HI Marla.... I don't know anything about apple cider vinegar topically, it might even sting on the opened sore... BUT yes I've been doing apple cider vinegar in water as my morning first drink of the day that is supposed to really help ourdigestion etc.  aha.. thanks for the reminder...I need to do it EVERY morning... yep i've been gettgin lax. THANKS!

FYI- But  apple cider vinegar to drink is bad if you have reflux- too acidic! I sing professionally and all the diaphragmatic breathing  pushes the acid up to my vocal cords, so I try to limit acidic foods and drinks.

oh, Karen - thanks for that explanation. I've been trying to follow the recommendations that we NEED apple cider vinegar for our leaky gut etc... BUT I find that too much of it upsets my tummy.   We really do have to listen to OUR OWN bodies.

    I agree with Guppy.

At night I use a vitamen e oil capsule. My last gyno visit she said everything was looking pretty good, pink and healthy. I’m not sure I have infused as such but more just trying to keep every a bit balanced.

    Good luck x

I want to know that too on how to unfuse  in lieu of surgery.  I'm going to my gyno on wednesday to see what she thinks.  So nervous about it too because the landscape down there has changed since I saw her 6 months ago.

HI Susan,  yeah,I'm so appreciative of all the immediate help/suggestions when we need it. I've got some marching orders out of this lovely wonderful response.  I'd also like to suggest to reread guppy's response to me.. it's very helpful to remember to relax, go with the flow etc. life carries on etc. .

Thanks Nancy, really trying to relax but I wake up not knowing how I am going to look that day.  I'm wondering if Emuaid cream is better than castor oil which I use daily.

I hv been using the Eumaid maxx for 10 days and itching and pain are gone, things feel better, lesions seem to be healing/ healed and everything feels moist. I ordered another Maxx and a Eumaid regular.

Hi, I will order as well.  So do you use the Eumaid regular in-between bad spouts of LS? Do you use it every day?

I’ve only been diagnosed for 13 days, started with Eumaidmaxx since it was so bad, symptoms hv pretty much cleared- up so I am going to switch to regular until I see my Dr July 24. Put on 4-5 x a day with Medline moisture barrier with Aloe, Vit A, D , E. Each time I pee.

Hi, I ordered the Eumaidmaxx last night along with Emu soap. Seems to have helped a lot of women.  Glad to hear you are on the mend.

I hope it gives you some relief. 👍🏻 I’m hoping this is only necessary during a flare- up since I went through an entire container ( 2 oz. of Eumaid maxx in 10 days). Also tried Perrin Naturals Cream Complete last night for the first time, burned quite a bit, very high in antioxidents and they said Vitamin c in it can cause burning. They sent a sample of their nature care ( thicker, more grape seed oil, less Vitamin C, less antioxidents) to “ prep” my skin before the  Cream complete, and that one was fine. Looking forward to my Eumaid order coming in the mail as I had good results with that. Another forum writer mentioned that she used Eumaidmaxx for a few years and then switched to Sylanar from her Dr. -No clob. Will discuss all these with vulva specialist when I get home.  Good luck to you!

Thanks Karen.  HOpe you get some good anwers from the specialist.  Seeing my doc on Wednesday.  I want to know how bad the fusing is.  Ugh.  My Eumaid comes by mail tomorrow.  Take care, Susan

I hope it helps you, Eumaid has done wonders  for me! Not loving the Perrin’s Natural I bought, I smell like a marinated steak and a glass of merlot mixed together! 🤣🤣

So funny re soap.  I didn't like the fragrance of the Cetaphil Soap.  I won't buy it again.  Scents are important to me. Good to hear that you are having success with Eumaid.  I don't know why I didn't buy before.  Tell me what your routine is with it, when and how much to use.  I also tried Desitin and didn't like it at all.  Didn't do anything for me.

HI Susan.. happy day... well I rotate between 3 or 4 different emollients. I looked at the Emuaid myself last year and given the frightful price, i wasn't so inclined. I looked at the ingredients carefully to see if there was the do-it-yourself possibilities. Have you all noticed that the ONLY active ingredient in Emuaid is a homeopathic version of COLLOIDAL SILVER?  I've added drops of mine to various oils as part of my varying routine.

Hi Nancy,  Yes I did notice the colloidal silver.  WHen I run out of the expensive cream I will try the drops.  AND it smells bad.  I feel when I wear it people can smell me and KNOW. I will actually spend anything to try to better manage LS. I am not rich at all, but there must be something out there.  Not sure the acupuncture and the near $1,000 I spent on that and herbal pills are actually helping.  I am not going back as I am tapped out.
