Hello 36 yr old female here. Have had all same tests as you plus 2 eye exams. Just seen neuro who said I'm fine also. I had that water ear test amd was twrrible, but mine showed normal tests. I go back on Tues to see about other options. I get every single symptom as you. Haven't found anyone on here yet describe theirs as accurate as you have. Was told labrynthis back in april, but still suffering with this crap. My eyes got a bit better, but last 2 weeks back x10. There are days where I'm super tired a ND weak also. They keep telling me stress, but needed everything ruled out first. I still don't think it's 100% stress, but totally over this crap. I try amd fight through it but it's hard. Especially the off balance/full head hard to walk part. And the eye crap. Grocery stores killed me in the beginning amd so did driving. It comes and goes, but right now full force. Don't even have 1 drink anymore, not worth the crappy feeljng. You in canada?

Had mri of head and neck too also a ct scan of head. I go to physio for my neck because I have small bit of spinal stenosis, but he says my eye issues etc shouldn't be related. My neck cracks a lot too.

Had full blood plus immunofixation serum and bloods from the neuro. Those came clear. Caloric test? Not sure about that. Had thyroid b12 etc checked and those are fine too. I've looked up those videos on YouTube for the rehab for eyes. Have t tried it yet though. I'm in ontrio canada. Was asking g where yoy are because it sounds like you've gotten all your tests/specialist apts done quickly! Here it takes a while to do anything!!

Do yoy stress a lot? They told me it was stress from the beginning, but I refused until they did as many tests as possible. My doc even tried to throw pills at me. Just changed docs last week. Was also Givin SERC in the beginning because was told it was labrynthitis. My new doc just told me today that labs can linger for a while. sadSERC is for dizzyness, but j only use it when needed. Didn't help the other day. I'm just hoping with flu season here, that this crap doesn't get any worse. There was a point when it first started wjere I couldn't even get off couch. The forst day it started, I felt drunk all the sudden. Well half way drunk. Like 4 beers in, had to lay down. I'm functioning now, but still way off somedays. Hard to plan anything. I didn't go anywhere when it first happened. Trust me your not alone. And the feeling of being seperate from your body isn't crazy either!! It's terrible, but does get better. Somedays.

    Hi Jenny

I've been dealing with same symptoms over 7 yrs , last 3 or 4 yrs being the worse. It's been an everyday all day long, unsteadiness, head pressure , headaches , face pain, nauseous ,weird zapp sensation in head , heaviness in head , sometimes I don't know how my vessels in brain can take so much pain and pressure at same time. I feel like I'm in a plane and that pressure when take off... I have this constant swaying motion, whether standing ,sitting ,lying in bed. I always feel fatigue, when i wake up, maybe 2 hours later i feel as if i didn't sleep all night. It's hard sometimes for me to drive , I won't drive far either . I just went back to work , it's not easy , I've had moments where i feel I'm going to pass out. I can't be in traffic , i get anxiety , feel like passing out. Cant look at cars going by if I'm at a stop. It's a struggle but we must push through and fight. I've had so many tests over the years and still. Had MRI last November ,I wanted another one but my dr said no, there's nothing there...had a few before that one too. All I can do is pray , and will continue not just for me but for all of us.

    God bless

Many of you may suffer from vestibular migraine. Certain symptoms can suggest this diagnosis, but ultimately it is a diagnosis of exclusion. A trial of migraine preventative drugs might be a good thing to try.

I agree with dizzy Lizzy.  You both may have vestibular migraines.  You don’t need the pain of a headache to have this.  It is a process of elimination.  Look up the symptoms and see if it matches you.  I did and was shocked I had every symptom. Yet no doctor had mentioned it to me.  I thought I was going to be permanently disabled.  I am now on medication and it has wiped out most of my symptoms.  I now am being treated by an otolaryngologist who has verified that it seems to be vestibular migraines.

Mine is constant though and doesn't get worse with head movement ot bending down. I've just always had sense of off balance for 6 months. It's not a temporary thing which it says MAV usually is. I head back to see ENT today. We shall see..

Hi even though my test showed that I have vestiublar hypofunction in left ear 35 percent damage to the vestiubkar nerve maybe on top of that I have vestiublar mirgrain thats why my symtpoms are getting worse?? What meds are you on and what symptoms have gone away if you dont mind me asking

MAV can be constant for some. Google dizzinessandbalance and Dr. Hain for his site. He's a expert in this, and he thinks much of this ends up being migraine.

      Hi smitty

mine was constant too.  Every day all day.  And it turned out to be vestibular migraines.  So don't discount it because of being constant.  I responded immediately to the migrain meds.  Was in a nightmare for 3 months straight.  Was losing myself and my life.  This was the 3rd diagnosis.  It cannot hurt to ask to treat it to see if it works, that's what I did. Thank God, had I just listened to the doctors that I would eventually get better I would still be unable to work and leave my house. If you have vestibular migraine -you need the medication to reset your brain. Then once all your symptoms are gone you eventually come off the meds.  This was what my new doctor the odontologist told me.

i am on norotriptiline.  All the brain fog, confusion went away almost immediately.  The dizziness went away immediately.  My inability to remember words or put a sentence together-gone.  I can shower ect without getting dizzy or confused.  I have a few things left that trigger dizziness.  Riding in the passenger seat of a car, grocery shopping, and scrolling thru my phone. I still have a buzzing in my ear.  I can work a full day without any issues at all. Before I could only go in about every other day, and I could only last about 4hours on the day I went in.  I can drive for hours without any issue.  My doctor the orontologist is increasing th e norotriptiline slowly until all my symptoms are gone.  I am on 30 mg and he said he goes up to 150 so my immediate response to a low dose is good he said.  I can be a mother to my child again.  so I am about 70 % back to normal.  It's so wonderful to not be dizzy or confused.  That is all I cared about.  This doctor said that you can have the VAM with no headache pain.  Check with your family if there is a history of migraines in your family. Or do you have a hx in the past?

i know exactly how you feel.  The grocery store is the scariest place.  The neurologist I saw was so terrible and told me I would be disabled.  Didn't even try to help me.  It was my ENT who listened to me but I had to bring up trying to treat vestibular migraines.  She was angry at what the neurologist said and made me an appointment with the otolaryngologist.  This guy is the specialist! He validated everything. The visual vertigo is almost completely gone I only have a couple triggers.  But he said the Norotriptiline will wipe those last ones out.  Find a new doctor.  The brain fog, the headaches, the vertigo, the things moving in front of me-gone.  I have my personality back no confusion brain fog at all. Have you looked up otolaryngologist in your area? I couldn't go to the mall before but I can now.  I still am a little scared of the grocery store so I only run in for a couple of things but I am ok.  My doctor said Norotriptiline needs to reset my brain. Once he finds the right dose to get rid of all symptoms my brain will be reset and I will come off it.  Please look for a new doctor.  If I hadn't, I think I would still be in a fog, confused, dizzy just moving my eyes.  You can do it.  Google one today

Can you fall asleep ok? How are you when your eyes are closed? Mall was hard for me too, especially when the floor pattern changed all the sudden. I saw my ent yesterday amd all my tests (caloric) was normal. He told me si ce all my tests are normal, that I'm stressed and it causes dizzyness. I looked into something g called pppv. Type it in amd look up symptoms. Let me know what you think. It's new but is recognized by the WHO. (world health organization)
