Uncommon costo symptoms

Costochondritis is unfortunately, not widely known or discussed and I've got more information from here than my gp.
Although I'm lucky to say I'm 80-90% healed, I've reached a plateau.
I wanted to share some of the less common symptoms I've experienced in my healing process for those who may be scared/confused:
Head pressure on the side of inflammation
(possibly led to a slowing down of the movement in left eye, I now wear glasses to refocus, never had eye issues before)
Headaches
Swollen neck
Tightness in neck
Swollen shoulder muscles
Back pain in the middle of back
Inability to eat
Feeling physically full after half a meal but still hungry
Stomach pain
Burning sensation in muscles
Tingling sensation in muscles
Strange sinking feeling when breathing, comparable to the stomach drop you get in fear/on a rollercoaster or similar but it's more muscular/physical
Sensation of muscles suddenly "deflating" when falling asleep - possibly anxiety related as well
Constant palpitations
Fatigue
Tiredness
Generally weak
Arm pain on side of inflammation
Feeling like I can't breathe
Difficulty walking at speed - who knew swaying arms could be so painful?!
Feeling fine all day but swelling up when you lie down to sleep
Sinus pressure
BONUS: For those who have overcome the majority of the pain
general discomfort/awareness/heaviness/tightness of the affected areas
Feel free to share your uncommon/less discussed symptoms

Hi not sure if anyone can help me or even if this discussion is still on going .
I have this terrible thing and its driving me insane.
I have now started to get all the what seems to be nerve tingling in arms, legs, head, jaw,top of thigh ,now my top lip, of which terrifies me.
My question is do any of you still get all of that when the pain from the sternum and ribs is not to bad.
I also suffer from IBS and not sure if the two are connected, i had an endoscopy just before Christmas and i think this is a result of that.
Any help would be great.

All the time! Convinced I've got something terrible that no doctor has found. It's been 7 years. All started at perimenopause. My life hasn't been normal since.

Tick, tick, tick, tick!!
It is so reassuring to come across your post and know that I am not the only one experiencing many of these symptoms!
A month in, and a few weeks of anxiety and pulling my hair out, thinking I'm dying, etc. etc., I've come to the realisation that I am only going to be able to get through this by helping myself (although this is not to say that anxiety will not get in the way at times!) via soft stretches and natural anti-inflammatories.
I note that turmeric tea helped you. How much do you put in and how many of these teas do you have a day?
Thanks so much.

hello, i have been experiencing chest pain since the middle of march where i went a and e and was told it was costo. A week after i started experiencing stomach pain and changes in bowel habit. For this i had a stool sample which was fine. since then i am also experiencing neck tightness and swelling and what feels like a lymph node, i have rung my GP about this who just said to call back if it increases or leaks pus. she has also said i could have health anxiety as i have been calling my GP constantly with a new symptom.
basically every day is:
I wake up feeling hot and cold at the same time
after lying down for a few moments thinking im gonna die i experience really bad lower stomach pain which is mostly gone after i poo ( for some reason it is always different and weird with stuff inside it but both times i have had a stool sample my poo comes out fine which is really frustrating)
then throughout the day i just have a uncomfortable feeling in my chest and sometimes my back like a crawling feeling under the skin. i also have this bubbly fizzing feeling in my upper left back and chest.
i also experience muscle spasms mostly abdomen
i also experience really bad pressure in my ears and different types of headaches and numb tingling sensations on the top of the head.
i also just feel like there is something at the back of my throat and it is always dry.
i think i might have health anxiety as every time i experience a new symptom i search it up and it always leads to cancer or a major illness. i get really worried as it feels like my GP does not care.
as well as this is anyone else experiencing strange sensations and chill feeling from the back. and also basically all the pain i experience like muscle or rib bone on the left always hurt when i press down for a few seconds or even minutes but if i touch it later there is no pain.
i would like to know if anyone can relate to this. i am really worried and have been searching a lot and it is always cancer like colon or oral or even lymphoma.
there is probably a lot i have missed out so i would love for people to reply as i have all kinds of pains that only happen rarely and i forget.

Hey Saltymaate, I too have had bowel changes, but these tend to follow episodes of high stress/anxiety. I get increased heart rate which I think revs everything up including your metabolism, hence changing bowel habits. As your bowel tests are clear you can relax about that. Try eating well, maybe track your diet and try meditation for the anxiety, which I've found makes everything worse.

I cannot thank you enough for posting these symptoms - each one I was reading I was shouting YES YES YES (as I'm sitting with my heating pad and turmeric tea). The one that struck me the most was the feeling full but still hungry. I thought that was just me being anxious about this whole thing, but I wonder now if it's because I feel so much pressure/fullness in my chest.
I want to note that no doctor has told me this is what I have, but after multiple doctor trips, ER visits, urgent cares, etc. I know in my gut this is what it is. Has anyone else experienced that? Or has there's always shown up on X-rays/CT scans?
Also, one doctor prescribed me an inhaler, but I've been afraid to use it since it mentions dizziness/speeding up heart rate and the breathlessness already gives me anxiety and a high heart rate. Has anyone found an inhaler to help?

A lot of the symptoms the original poster listed about costochondritis also apply for gluten sensitivity or celiac disease. especially the costochondritis/ rib pain dizziness and tingling. this is caused by inflammation.
go get checked out for these conditions by your doctor.
