Underactive thyroid and menstruation

I was diagnosed with underactive thyroid about 7 years ago after visiting the doctor because of my periods becoming very irregular. I had a blood pressure test and my BP was very high. After blood tests they told me I had underactive thyroid. Since then I've been on Levothyroxine. I started on 50mg and I'm now on 112.5mg per day. My periods have still not returned 7 years later and each time I see the doctor they just send me for another blood test. They told me last time that one blood test was consistent with people who were going through the menopause but I have absolutely no other symptoms. Has anybody else had a similar problem with menstruation and thyroid? I'm 41 and despite my latest thyroid blood test showing no change, I'm feeling more and more tired.

I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 4 years ago. I initially got tested because I was always exhausted, constant headaches, pale. I've been on levothyroxine ever since which worked really well for me but a few months ago my period just stopped. For the last year or so it's become more irregular then it ever was but I still was getting them. I'm not pregnant and now after finding this forum I'm thinking it's related to my thyroid probably
em. My doctor always told me my numbers were very high and I was going to need a high doses but could the problem be that I need to increase my dose even higher now? I mean if I do that is it going to bring my periods back? My doc also said he's never seen someone with levels as high as mine who wasn't overweight, in fact I have the hardest time trying to gain weight. I don't understand why that is and what I can do to gain weight (healthily) and keep it on or is my hypo always going to keep me at a low weight?

I have had hypo since i was 9 years old (now almost 30) and even to this day there are times my period is completely on schedule, sometimes late, and sometimes it's a phantom. The biggest cause to this my dr says is not the t3 and t4 protein levels, but instead the tsh level. Both my t3 and t4 levels have been normal for the past 2 years, but when i did a full panel blood test, i found my tsh level was way high. Because this was left alone for so long i now have ulcerative colitis from the constant constipation, high cholesterol from wrong meds, and phantom periods from the severe unbalance.
