Underarm Pain

Where do I start. Hoping someone can put my mind at rest.
In January, I had a nasty virus which led to chest pains, feeling terrible, palpitations, went to doctors, had ECG and bloods, all normal. Was taking Cerazette mini pill at time, stopped taking it. Started feeling a little better, started taking again. Had dull ache under left armpit and sore boobs. Put this down to starting pill again. Chest started feeling all tight and heavy, pains again, so stopped pill again, went back to doctors, slight swelling to sternum area, told I had Costochondritis. Pain in underarm/left side of breast continued, had a good check doing self breast exam, went back to doctors, had examination off the doctor, no lumps felt, no swollen lymph nodes, doctor put it down to combination of hormomes and costochondritis. Painful armpit went away, got my period, started taking cerazette again.
After a few days, started feeling ill again, armpit and left breast uncomfortable. Took pill for about 12 days, then made decision to stop it altogether, had another doctors apt - blood pressure, heart rate and ECG (again) all normal.
However, dull pain/ache still in armpit and sometimes down left side of breast, sometimes ache down arm. Its intermittent, not always there, when I'm sitting and relaxing I dont feel it, its not stopping me sleeping. When I'm doing things around the house, i'm aware of it. When I squeeze my armpit towards my body, I can feel the ache, but when I stop squeezing,
i dont feel it. Both my breasts look as normal as usual.
I'm sick of waking up every day to this, worrying about it, the doctor says there no lumps and it will probably go away in time, but i'm worried that theres something more seriously wrong, and keep thinking im going to die and leave my husband and daughter which upsets me and makes me think of it more!
I have a 2 year old child that Im always lifting up, and i'm left handed, am wondering if it could be hormonal due to the amount of times I've stopped and started the mini pill in a short space of time, and also if I maybe have a trapped nerve or damaged a muscle in some way.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Hello watesey, i have the same. I have had or for many years. Pain on my leftside under my armpit and ribs. I am not able to lie on my leftside
I have had alot of test done too.my dr. Says it is muscluar. Everuyhing comes back normal. Lately, it goes to my chest, ribs, stomach and around to my back. I have taken 800mg of ibuprofen. Seems to work at lately things just hurt more. I do do some strenuous work and I feel that does not help the situation so I do take it easy but the good thing is that it's muscular and not a heart issue. Wow this forum is great. I thought is was me being paranoid. Sorry but glad its not just me. I hope we get to feel pain free.

Hi I've been having this since November on left side on side of breadt. Kinda feels like a torn muscle. I have been diagnosed with Costochondritis and taking antiinflamatories and analgesics. Pain comes and goes and isn't limited to one area. Everywhere between cartilage and ribs. Hope this may help someone out there. Def stress related too.

I hope this post will help, if not all of you, at least some. A couple of years ago I had pain in the right breast and underarm. I had mammograms and ultrasound with no answer as to why the pain. So I went online to a reliable breast cancer website and started reading. I learned that most (but not all) lumps that are cancerous are not painful. I also learned that some women have breast pain when they eat too much fat. Well, I didn't think I was eating all that much fat, but I did cut way down on it and almost at once the pain in my breast and underarm were gone. Since that time, when I eat too much fat, the pain starts again.
I sure hope this will work for you.

Hi, just came across this. I am so relieved to find I'm not alone in worrying. For some months I've had a burning sensation under my right arm, it's not constant but appears at some time daily. It's irritating more than anything else, as it feels like nappy rash type burning. I have no marks, redness nor any physical signs of the sensation. I also, especially at night, get an itch, which feels like a bite, again no physical signs at all...and it's ramdon...on my back, awhile later on my arm...etc etc. The GP gave me cream, which helps for the tich, but says he has no idea, why I have the burning underarm or the random itch. I'm disabled and have type2 diabetes and take a lot of pills daily, but have been taking them all for years, no new additions. I do still wonder if its a reaction to these days getting generic meds, other than named brands.

After 1 year, and every test imaginable I have finally gotten some relief. My dr suggest physical therapy. I'm like what???Physical therapy for an underarm lump and breast pain??? I figured what do I have to lose we have done EVERYTHING else. It wasn't so much any exercises the therapist gave me, but rather the ultrasound and massages that were performed.

Hi I've come back to this post after a while. Just wanted to post Ive had all the symptoms of pain down arm right into wrist and also right inside the underarm and down side of breast. After doing some research I bought myself some evening primrose oil capsules 100mg and took 3 a day for 3 months . The symptoms were better almost immediately and after the three months were gone. Still take evening primrose oil 100mg per day. Also to point out I am Menopausal, so not sure if that was a factor.

hello
have you found a solution to these problems?
i have been suffering from pain in my left breast and under my armpits for 5 months now. i had a mammogram as well 3 ultrasounds for breast and armpits everything is ok. i am 30 years old. my doctor thinks of intercostal neuralgia, after a neck x ray i actually have a pinched nerves and ostheoarthis. i followed an anti-inflammatory treatment for one week , the pains have sightly decreased , but are still there.
i am currently taking evening primrose, glucosamine and MSM ... waiting to see what it does . my symptoms started 2 weeks after recovering from the coronavirus .not sure if this is related, i did not suffer from lung weaknesses during covid period.
grateful to have find this forum , that comforts me a lot

hi! I just found this forum googling. I am going through similar issues. I started having ached Under my left armpit late last year and January of this year. I went to my primary and she has me do an ultrasound. It was clear. I also saw the heart doctor and was cleared too. It's August now and im experiencing it yet again. Its just an ache under my armpit close to my left breast. -Anyone find an answer to this? Another random thing that has been happening over the last year is a pain in my neck on the left side that comes and goes. It feels like something is squeezing inside or pushing in my throat on the left side. it doesnt feel like its in the throat at all. Ultrasound of that was also clear except they noted a nodule being of certain size which my doc said was still normal. Not sure if its related. Just funny its all on the left side.
