Went for my check with Dr this morning & she is more than happy with my progress to date. She also thinks its fantastic that we have created our support system on here & congratulated us for being so motivational & supportive of each other - so well done everyone 😇

The only thing I have to do is make more progress on the exercise front which I knew anyway & also to be vigilant of hidden sugar...did you know 1 innocent smoothie has 4.5 tsps of sugar??? Bread is a big culprit so she understood why when I didn't eat any bread at all last week I had my greatest loss as my sugar intake will have reduced significantly, so there we go. Is anyone else brave enough to see what happens for them lol?!!!

hi cath, thats brilliant news, i have my drs appointment on monday im dreading it, i really am.

the reason why im dreading it, is because the drs had my before christmas weight logged, they didnt see me gaining 10lbs through christmas then successfully loosing it, they will just think i stayed the same throughout winteR!

Maybe if you explain that they will understand cos most people do put weight on over Christmas. Good luck hun let us know what they say xx

Hi Dawn, I've just finished my 1st month box of capsules & have lost 1st 6lbs! There's no secret formula as they work differently for everyone but I drink around 3ltrs of water & stick to the slimming world plan as much as poss - multi-grain porridge & fruit fir breakfast, sardine salad, fruit & yoghurt for lunch & meat/fish with veg/salad for dinner as examples. Bread is now a no-no for me as I lose more weight if I don't eat it

That's excellent Cath do you find you have a bigger loss when you don't eat bread?

Last week is the 1st time I've had no bread products at all & I had my highest loss - 9lbs! Even in my 1st week I 'only' lost 6lbs. I'm not sure I could give it up forever but it obviously isn't right for my body. I admit that when money us tight I live on bread as its cheap & filling but not any more!

A LOT!!! If I wanted to weigh my idea of my ideal weight (9st 7lbs) I need to lose 18st 8lbs in total or 65% of my starting weight...rather daunting to look at it that way lol. I've broken it down into mini goals of each 7lbs & every 5% to aim for & record the dates achieved as motivation :-)

Hi Cath when do you take your tablets?
    • Posted

I take them before I eat as opposed to after just cos I worry I'd forget lol plus I do wonder if maybe if they're in your system ready for food they can act immediately but I don't actually know for sure.

How have you managed with more water today? Soo soo cold today, would have loved a nice warming hot chocolate from the canteen in work but I resisted even when I went to get some nice hot porridge for breakfast!!!
