Just wondering if we have any success stories. I'm doing better with yuvafem three times a week, but sex is painful even to think about it. I have a doctor's appt April 3rd but I;m afraid this is the best I will ever be without the mona lisa

I have had my first MLT a month ago , second due this week ....had almost pain free sex this week skin looks much healthier more give.
I am in the U.K. , my specialist does not use lidocaine as it's best not to regards results, yes it was painful externally not internally , nothing on the area at all for three days.
I decided that quality of life over quantity, regards side effects in the future , no one knows what tomorrow brings .
I will still probably need the " estring" still , but time will tell , I am also on HRT all for the vaginal atrophy which as we no is hideous mine started at 46 I am now 50.
The cost of MLT is crazy , it's going on an interest free credit card.
What they never told us about the menopause, very sad so much suffering, I have had 3 9lb babies bought up 3 very successful children and feel dumped by society , onto the younger generation to start the breeding process again and on it continues.

Hi Wendy ! I am doing okay I have been working trying to get ready for our first art show of the year in Findlay Ohio. I have been able to work longer hours but having a bad couple of days here. Probably because of sitting and painting. Still taking the 3 a week yuvafem. Thought about increasing it. But sometimes I just get sick of it, you know? Can't get brave enough for sex, I am scared to death to put myself back to square one. I wonder now how I survived that.
How have you been? I'm going to look back over the conversations I've missed

Hi Donna
im doing okay. I "thought" I had another UTI last week so went to doctor. They couldn't take a dip stick test as I took the pain killer that changes your pee orange. They sent it off for culture...meanwhile they put me on CIPRO for 5 days......just found out culture came back no UTI...UGH..good news but sure didn't want to be on that antibiotic yet again for nothing as I had UTI the first week in April. Doctor said it was probably the Atrophic Vaginitis that feels like UTI. That happened once before. I too am afraid to have intimacy with my hubby for fear of starting discomfort all over again as also I get UTI's after intimacy in the past. I'm going to see my urologist next week concerning reaccurant of UTIs and will ask him what his thought are on ML. I still want to wait longer to see how women are doing longer term and hopefully insurance will start covering it. I would love to see your art work! I am glad you are better sorry about lately though.....could be due to sitting. Try and move around in between panting keeping the blood flowing.
thank you for letting us know how you are doing. I cannot imagine life without Vagifem or Yuvafem!! Such a blessing!

I couldn't imagine life without yuvafem either. And I know what you mean my husband is being wonderful but I'm wondering if I will ever feel brave enough to risk it, In August it will be a year. We celebrate our 40th anniversary May 31st and sure would like to try. It just terrifies me to mess up my progress . so sad. No one understands how bad this is.
Next week I have a major medical tune up scheduled. I,m seeing the eye doctor, then having my yearly ultrasound on my thyroid, a mamogram and the dentist. Then I have an appt with a dermatologist for a spot that my doctor thinks is a basil cell. Sounds like fun huh? Somehow this old body has become high maintainence

Hi Donna
Remember you and I have been struggling with this VA about the same time frame, I was doing Ok and my symptoms were minimal for several months, though not totally gone. This last week the symptoms have returned. They aren't as bad as at first, last year but I am so down hearted about it. I thought I was on the up. I think this happened to Kay too. I am just looking for reaasurance......are you still doing OK. How are we to cope with the ups and downs of this? I am struggling!

I know we have been on almost the same timeline. I have kind of leveled off now. But it is never going to be good again. And i.m trying to accept that. Mine started in August 2016. I haven,t had a single day since then without symptoms. But I am so much better than the ice packs and crying. Still I.m not brave enough to attempt sex again. I feel so bad but I'm terrified to go back to the beginning.
I just try to take each day as it comes and do the best I can. Somedays I can work somedays I can't . The worst thing is never being able to make people understand the severity of this condition. How life changing it is.

I I didn't use Vagifem last night and feel a bit better today. I wonder if using it 5 times is no longer needed for me?! I used Ovestin outside and this seemed to help. I am hoping I can get back to where I was, even though that wasn't perfect.

It might be too much I'm good at three and sometimes I forget and only do two. You might back off and try less
