Upping Zoloft from 50 to 75 . Positive feedback please!

Hello fellow members

I was on 50 mg for 8 weeks with some slight improvement but was not where I wanted to be. I still experienced anxiety which cause me to hardly eat. I upped my dose to 75mg today and I just really want to hear some positive insight and stories from those who upped their dose and finally started to feel like themselves! Does it take 4-6 weeks or shorter? I have some people who tend to tell me that “ I should be seeing more results this far in the game and maybe switching meds would be best” I on the other hand dont feel the need to switch yet as I still am at a low dose. Anything positive would be great from you all! Thank you.

I've been taking Zoloft 50mg for 13 years. I do, however, realize that realize I probably should have upped my dosage years ago. At last I've told my Dr that I would like to up my dosage to 75. I'm also experiencing relationship problems with my partner of 10 years because of my lack of intimacy issues caused by menopause. It's very fun to be 53, let me tell you, lol. Anyway, tomorrow morning I'm starting the new dose! I am very excited and looking forward to a positive lift in my mood and well being!! Of course I'm anxious as well, but I have to do this for myself..now . because the negativity committee is running rampant in my head and has been for quite some time. Not sure what will happen with the relationship but hoping for a stronger sex drive to boot. goodnight

    Hi all,

I'm currently in this mess of starting zoloft too. When I went from 25mg to 50mg i had horrible side effects. I had insomnia, bad anxiety in the mornings with the shakes almost all day and no appetite. side effects started to get better but anxiety was still high so i just recently upped it to 75mg and all the side effects are back again. i feel horrible and i have 2 littles to take care of as well. the doctor eventually wants to get me to 100mg but i hope i wont have to deal with these side effects again. They have also had me on hydroxyzine twice a day and one at night for sleep and anxiety to help get through until the zoloft works. i hope its ok to be on hydroxyzine that long because this feels like a very long process. Please tell me there is hope and it will get better. its hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel right now
