I am trying to find someone who has had the urolift done and find out the results

    Hi Bret , I'm a 65 year old male completely healthy except for prostate issues. I was unable to urinate having to self catheter to eliminate. I did have the urolift procedure done 5/23/2015 with 5 clips installed. I wore a foley bag for five days after the procedure and was on 4 mg of flomax. Six weeks after the operation I was back up to 8mg. flomax. I have been on a foley bag now for the last 3 weeks. and self cathing before that... the procedure didn't work. Another cystoscopy this friday may reveal that I have a stricture blocking my uretha. Thats the best case scenario....urolift is regarded as a "stop gap " procedure by some. I chose it because of its less damaging side effects i.e. retrograde ejaculation. It may pose a possible obstacle for other procedures. I am now heavily weighing in on PAE if the urolift op hasn't eliminated me as a candidate.
