Urolift Guys, Keep in mind.

This is not so much of a "discussion" as it is a gentle reminder.

When they do the Urolift they are clamping some devices 4 or more times, which can dig into your prostate (a good thing, that way they are tight).  So realize that your prostate is traumatized, and your body is trying to rid of it instead of acccepting it.  So there is going to be some stuff to deal with,  initially.    Give it a little time and your prostate will comply with the foreign objects.   Hey, we are probly all in our 50s or better and our bodies are pretty stubborn when it comes to healing up.   Its all worth it!

3 weeks and 3 days since Urolift with six thingies.  The medical machine that installs them is single shot....so the doc had to go in and out six times....that did a lot of trauma...blood...chunks...but have healed well and love the results.  I'm 70

I had 4 implants so went in 4 time.  All is well pee great.  But I had a stricture in the urethra just before the sphincter muscle. Started to have some leaking.   Being the machine is bigger then the scope they use My doctor said he was very careful but it could have caused more scare tissue and holding some of the pee.  When I move it is leaking out.  Having a scope done again on the 10th of September.  If that is the problem.  Going to have a ballon dilalation.  Lucky me.  Wearing a pad for now...Ken

That is GREAT NEWS RIVER!!    Isnt it  great to be able to p*ss a solid and forceful stream again?   I have had mine done for a littlle over a month,  I dont seem to have to go too often but when I do, I go alot!   So happy about that.

So would you say that right after the procedure  and a few days afterwards there is some trauma the prostate goes through?   I know mine seemed to be a little unhappy for a while!

Ken,   has your doc suggested to you to exercise the Kagel muscle on an ongoing basis daily?   That may help with being able to hold it??

Yes I have tryed that.  It helped with my erection to. I only leak 2 or 3 times a week.  Never know when don't feel it. I am just glad that it comes out and not back into the bladder.  Had 5 infections last year and sepsis.  Thank you  Ken

So, Ken,  have you had a bladder scan,  like after the second or third day of not peeing?     In my opinion that does not sound like enough times.    Im sure you drink plenty of water/Cranberry juice,  Hopefully that has not been going on for too long.   Time for a little look around, maybe?              When it comes to your health dont be afraid to seek another opinion!

Anthony Who said I was not peeing.  The urolift worked great for me.   I pee great.  I do not had to force myself anymore.  With the stricture I do have to sit down and pee.  It goes all over.  I can have up to 2 or 3 steams.  The leaking has only been the last 6 weeks...Ken

No problem.  I have had the stricture for about 10 years never know I had it .  I had kidney stones removed about 10 years ago and as I was getting older I was not peeing right.  Ended up in the hospital last August.  Had Sepsis.  The doctor needed a urine sample and I told him I did not need to pee and I don't pee on demand.  I peed 2 hours before I got to the hospital .  Ten minutes later I had a male RN come into the room tell my son to leave and force a catheter in me without telling me what he was doing. I ever ask what are you doing never got a answer.  I gave up after that he tryed 2 times never got it into my bladder.  It hurt like H...L .I was not ready for that....After seeing a urologist that came and saw be in the hospital he found the stricture.  It was from the kidney surgery....I hope this time when he does the scope he can tell what the problem is.  Getting kind of tierd of things going up me.....Take care  Ken
