Vagina bubble feeling, symptom of B.V?

Posted , 58 users are following.

I had my son 9 months ago, I had a second degree tear and stitches, I was fine at first I then had sexual intercourse 5 weeks post baby and then showered (including my vagina, which I know can change the PH balance, leading to B.V) and that’s when I began to feel what could only be described as the feeling of bubbles in my vagina.

I also have a lot more discharge, which can be watery but also clumpy. I went to the doctors numerous times and was tested for Thrush, Cystitis, Bacterial Vaginosis, STDs etc and they all came out negative (although I was given and took medication for Cystitis and Bacterial Vaginosis, before the results came back) I think in the end the doctor got fed up with me and told me it was normal post baby.

I can’t see how this can be normal as it is really uncomfortable to live with and can really get me down. The excess discharge also makes my vagina sore.

The bubble feeling tends to get worse when I urinate and just before my period is due and I sometimes bleed a little after sex (not sure if this is related)

I thought it might be Bacterial Vaginosis, thats how I got the medication for it, but the swabs came back negative twice (although I have read it can be difficult to diagnose and treat) so I'm still not sure if it is. Either way I am desperate to get rid of this bubble feeling, and any doctors I have seen, do not seem to know what I am talking about, so if anybody else has experienced this bubble feeling, it would be great to hear from you.

    Hi everyone

Has anyone looked into Rectovaginal fistula?

    Worth having a read

I have read into this. There are definitely symptoms that match but it seems so unlikely for this to be the cause for my issues. I have never had any children, no surgeries/radiation, no trauma, etc. Apparently they are very hard to detect as well. But I suppose it is worth asking the Doctor about...

Sometimes things aren't always text book so definitely worth looking in to, especially if all other options have been exhausted.

And don't take no for an answer. If you don't feel happy with what your doctor is saying, go get a 2nd, 3rd or 4th opinion if you have to.

Hope you get some answers soon 😊

It's more than likely a yeast overgrowth. 3 day generic monistat worked for me!

At last I am here 😊 what a fiasco registering when I put the wrong Email in 🙄. Oh well. Back to business.

I am 52 and have this blooming awful air bubble experience, like someone else on here, has it many years before too, and like it seems EVERYONE on here, has a plonker doctor. I've just had 2 hospital appointments to see what the problem is/if there's a prolapsed womb, and the result was that all is fine and I don't have GALL STONES!!! and must book an appointment for a 3rd internal to see if I have a prolapsed womb. OMG. Makes me seethe.

I have also related it to a possible tear, but possible between the front and back passages, although this doesn't explain how I had it ages 18 - 23. I've also wondered if it is down to the shape of us unfortunate women, are our thigh-tops to close to the vagina so cause more of a suction and produce the air, are the butt-cheeks too round, it may sound weird but after 2 years of this, the mind wanders.

It's a mystery, or is it, someone medical must know.

Amazing to find a whole discussion on the bubbles, or what I call "percolating".. as in "it feels like something is percolating down there!"

It happens to me when I have an active infection I think, because the first time I ever felt it was when I had my first yeast infection and more recently I've been feeling it while treating BV. Which is a real pain in itself. I used metrogel for five nights and had no sex for five days while treating it, then had sex two days in a row and then the bubbling began again. Called the doctor, got another Rx for metrogel, used it for five more days, next morning woke up with itching/burning and percolating/bubbles feeling again. Tried to wait it out a couple of days to make sure it wans't just my body working the gel out but nope, hurts/burns too much. Sent my husband to the store to get me Rephresh gel to see if using that to help keep my PH at a normal level would work.. mistake. That stuff is THICK and nasty and the applicator is terrible, you can only get the gel just inside the outer vaginal lips and a lot of it drops right back out into the toilet when you pee after insertion. The gel that got on the outside of my lips made me itch and burn, and the following morning I woke up still hurting and now with clumpy white junk falling out of me - not yeast, and not normal BV stuff, not even normal Metrogel little balls of white stuff that look like toilet paper - but an entirely different sort of white stuff. It looks like an entire roll of toilet paper was shoved up inside me and is falling out in clumps now or something, and feels sticky and itchy like paper mache. I won't be using Rephresh again. But anyway as far as the bubbles feeling goes, for me it is always a sign that there is more moisture going on than there should be, and that the moisture is being generated by something in there that shouldn't be there. It feels like a chemical reaction causing bubbling and fizzing really. I hate it. It makes me itch and I'm going through way too many pairs of underwear per day due to the moisture that comes with it. I'm about ready to spackle my ladyparts shut and call it a day I swear. Luckily this stuff is a lot LIKE spackle. haha. not.

    Sorry to intervene all.

I left a huge related message but it has been lost due to red tape ~ indignantries making mints from this site at the expense of us sufferes ~ how do these people sleep at night? So how do people make it so difficult for us to put our real life experiences in? CRAZY.

Now, at this time of the night, with nothing copied, I will say my real life is the same as "Blanches". Just testing for now.

Hi ladies, hope everyone is doing well and symptom free. I been experiencing this involuntary sensation for a couple months now. This year I have been under a lot of stress (work related) mainly and financially and we all know that stress is a big factor when it comes to health issues. First my skin & scalp got very dry to the point where my hands & feet crack, develop itchy spots, and even bleed from how dry my epidermis gets. I've seen several dermatologists and nothing they've given me helps. So I'm thinking every symptom including this bubbling may be stress related. Just a few days ago my labia has been getting very dry and itchy but not the entire day. No discharge or smell. Was tested for STDs just in case my ex was not being faithful, but all good in that department! All test were negative. I'm 38 and haven't had any form of sex by choice in the past 8 months. So I know I'm clean, clean, clean. My diet is very healthy, I exercise regularly, no children (yet) so why could his be happening? My pH is unbalanced maybe? I purchased a product by the name "RepHresh" viginal gel (personal lubricant) has anyone tried it? Strange feeling, I mainly notice it at night. I'll post after I finish the treatment in 12 days. Be well, ciao💐

Hi, sorry its a while later but has anyone had any success with this? Any hints on how to stop it? Also has anyone had any other symptoms apart from the bubble feeling? I've just started researching it after feeling like this for a while!
