Vaginal pain and discharge, fullness and pain in lower abdomen, antibiotics not helping!

This is going to be a long story with probably TMI.

The first sign that something was wrong was painful intercourse, to the point where we had to stop because I started crying. This was followed by more tenderness, redness, and a smelly discharge the next day. The third day, I started feeling burning after urination, and decided to go to a walk in clinic. They tested me for UTI, gonorrhea, trich, chlamydia, and pregnancy, and all were negative. So I was prescribed Flagyl as they suspected bacterial vaginosis. However, the redness, burning, and pain only worsened to the point where I felt pain when bending over or laughing, and I decided to go to the ER, fearing there might be an issue with my IUD. They ran all the tests again, including one for yeast infection, performed external and internal ultrasounds, and a pelvic exam. The IUD was where it should be, and the only thing of note in the exam was excessive discharge and redness. They gave me medication for the pain and nausea, and pretreated me for STI’s though the tests again came back negative.

It’s been two days since my visit to the ER and my condition has not improved.

It is here I’d like to add that two days prior to my first symptoms, I put a foreign object in my vagina. It was a tube I thought I might need to use to hold urine, as I feared I was going to be nicotine tested and had participated in vaping that morning. I took the test tube from the hospital I work at, and made sure to soak it in scalding hot water for half an hour before seeing if I could potentially hide it up there.

I am now wondering if I could have gotten an infection from the tube?? Is there any chance I might have contracted something like herpes that is causing this pain? Or is it a coincidence that they occurred around the same time?

I am running out of ideas and doctors to go to. I cannot afford the time or the money for another ER visit, and cannot see my OBGYN until a week from today. Any thoughts or comfort anyone can give would be so appreciated, as I am absolutely losing my mind and sleep over this.

Putting something in hot water doesnt guarantee that it becomes safe. As soon as you take the item out the water, bacteria start to form again over time, this is why you should take care care on it, specially because the vagina is very delicate. What you are going through sounds like infection.
