I've been on venlafaxine about 8 weeks now. Going on holiday do you's think I'd be ok too have a wee wine Spitzer or 2. Or a wee low alcohol cider. I would never go and get drunk. Has anyone had bad experiences taking alcohol on this antidepressant xxx

Karen, I can't give you advice,but I can tell you that my current dosage is 75mg ER/day, and I have on average two drinks/night with no noticeable side effects.

Guys n girls just too let u know I've had my holiday and had 2 koppenbergs every night just too chill and I'm glad too say I've been ok. But I still wouldn't go n take too much alcohol xx that's me for a few weeks just didn't have a drink for about 2 too 3 months n wondered if it would make me ill xx
