Vertigo on and off for years!

I just wondered if anyone else found being on a computer for a long period of time made them worse. I had some sort of inner ear virus for the second time at Christmas saw a specialist etc balance tests came back normal so did vrt, slowly helped and felt bit better so decided to go back to work but I work in a office on a computer for 5 hours a day also there's quite bright lights which I don't think help, anyway seems to of come on again so thinking could be the computers certainly don't think they are gonna help seeing as my therapist said the more active you are the quicker the recover.

Hey! I can't use a computer at all at the moment. I'm 8 weeks in on a bout of labyrinthitis. I tried to use a lap too last week and it made me sick! Xxx

Oh no hope it gets better for you. When I feel really bad I can't use one either try not to go on my phone to much because strains my eyes. I think staying off computers as much as poss could help this condition because when I first got it I did improve and I wasn't in a office job then.

Try not to worry because I find I get worse when I'm stressed. I know easier said then done what symtoms do you get if you don't mind me asking?

Extreme fatigue, head and ear pain, wooziness like I'm drunk and had about ten pints!! My eyes get tired and I find it hard to read for long as they don't feel like they are working together at times. I did sway a lot but that's settling now, my ears sometimes feel sort of tight at times and my tinnitus is more noticeable xxxx

I'm taking betahistine which has helped. I'm long term anxious so also take 40mg of Citalopram and 5mg of diazepam daily. I'm better than I was but it's very slow progress! Xxx

It is. It took me about a year to feel pretty normal again. Think you'll get more better days gradually.. I think I've gone down hill again due to stress my body can't seem to cope need to try relax more. And sleep eat better x

Yeah I was under a huge amount of stress before this happened so think it's my bodies way of telling me to slow down. It gets so frustrating at times xxx
