vertigo, plugged ears and swollen gland under right ear.

I have had symptoms of dizziness, blurred vision, off balance since the 7Th. Now for a few days the gland or nerve under my right ear is sore.

Waiting for appointment with ent, has anyone had this problem.

Thank you

It sounds like an ear infection that's pretty severe. It's hard to find healthcare providers who take vertigo seriously. Get antibiotics! And do plenty of research from medical journals. Your local university should have library access to online journals! Good luck and keep us posted!

HI to everyone going through this awful curse of dizziness.....If you have an infection the meds should help clear up most of the problems - perhaps.  If not an infection it gets more complicated --what Gillian had to say makes the most sense to me....some problems can't be seen on MRI or Xrays --.

One of the biggest hurdles to overcome is the fact many healthcare providers are so TERRIFIED of prescribing a long term regiment of antibiotics that you are "almost" cured of infection, but not enough to avoid a relapse.  I would argue that this method tends to create more antibiotic resistent bugs than does prescribing them in the first place.  If you research the information on how antibiotics work, you will learn that the blood vessles that feed the sinuses and inner ear are very small, and in the end, after your kidneys filter your blood, receive very little antibiotic.  That is why a LONG TERM REGIMENT should be mandatory for chronic sinusitis or otitus media infections!
