very worried and scared if i have herpes help

Posted , 5 users are following.

I recently had sexual intercourse with my girlfriend with a condom on and a few days passed and i noticed that my penis head has a few small painless red spots that does not cause pain when i touch them, i am uncircumcised as well. There is no pain when i pee or when i pull down my foreskin. There seem to be no blisters or lesions or any pus coming out from any of my genital parts. Was wondering if it has anything to do with herpes or if it could just be balanitis?

That just looks like mild balanitis:

Washing (with water, no soap) daily, and taking a leak and washing after masturbation or sex will probably help, and you could also try Canesten cream.

I wouldn't see a doctor in your position, but if you're concerned, you could either see your GP, or if you're in the UK, you could go to a genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinic - google "GUM clinic near me" for details.

If you do see a doctor, then if you could update this thread and tell us what the doctors say, it would be appreciated.  Good luck.

Went to see a doctor and did a test for hpv and it came out with negative (0.0 for everything) so i guess it was just allergies or something? It went away after a few days and i proceded to have coitus again and a few days after using the same type of condom it came back. Probably just allergic to the type of condom i used?

Thanks for the update.  It is possible for both men and women to be allergic to condoms, so maybe you could try hypoallergenic condoms.

Herpes acquired from sex with a condom would typically cause lesions around the exposed base, not the head, so I doubt it's herpes. Does not look typical of herpes either.

U said u got tested for hpv (warts)? But what about hsv (herpes)?

It doesn't look anything like herpes though (or warts for that matter).

A lot of what ive read has has stated that balanitus can be a symptom of herpes.

I really don't think it's herpes.  It looks nothing like herpes for a start, and if you google "herpes symptoms in men", you won't usually find balanitis mentioned.
