Waiting times

Hi All,

I was finally diagnosed with FMS about 2 months ago by my GP. She said she was referring me to a rheumatologist as they would be able to help me more than she can. I still haven't heard anything sad. I'm in Herts and was just wondering how long you all had to wait for your 1st appointment?

Hope you're all having a good day confused

Hi Daisydoo and anyone in the Herts or Middx area, I managed to get my GP to refer me to Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in Sranmore and had an appt within 4-6 weeks. This was Sept 2013 and I was so pleased to be under them however after discussing certain ways to help me ie fibro courses and various injections nothing has happened to date. They have finally written to me to say I can't do the cbt course because of my arthritis and they do not do lidocaine injections at their hospital. They are a renowned orthopedic hospital but don't do injections???????

Thanks for the heads up. I assume I'll be under QE2 or Lister. I hope you managed to get seen elsewhere x

To be quite truthful......I kind of new the outcome before I saw my rheumatologist. It felt as he didn't really answer my questions and felt he brushed my situation under the carpet.  At the end of the day they are the professionals and we take on board what they tell us.confused

I have an appointment in 4 weeks at St Mary's Paddington to see the same team who originally diagnosed my spinal and arthritic problems so hope they can do something for me. Xx
