Second time on citalopram stopped it after couple months because hair problems, tried sertraline made me worse now back on it 5 days in. Just waking at 4am most mornings can'T get back to sleep. Get off to sleep OK just wake so early and anxiety seems lot worse in morning anyone else have this. I take it at night as found taking it in morning first time stopped me getting off to sleep.

Do you think would matter if switched to the morning for few days see if things improve? All bit trial and error it seems. Mornings seem to be worse for anxiety as well.

Ok thanks will give it try for few days only getting about 4 hours sleep not really helping. Do you take it when you first get up? Bit jittery at moment but seems first couple weeks on new meds can amplify anxiety a bit!

Hi ya for your hair if you can see a trichologist they can help, im still loosing hair but have been for a year so cant put id down to pills but anxiety, i take zinc vut b complex and vit d on the trichologist advice. I take my citropram at nite round 5 and 2.5 melatonin helps me sleep dont ever feel refreshed though in a daze most of day but hoping that lifts im 7 weeks in now x

Mine def the pills so don't think trichologist would help but thanks for the advise. Had bad withdrawal for year from zopiclone so don't think it's the anxiety. Started when first took citalopram, eased bit when switched to sertraline but after few weeks got it with that as well. If the citalopram eventually helps can put up with it. The collagen and root re growth shampoo seems to be helping. I'm wary taking any supplements as seems to make my symptoms worse. I found melatonin makes you bit groggy the next day as well.
