i was rold this after a p.e. Fournyearsbago.
sincenthen i have been feeling unwell a lot of the time, ended up,gallbladder out but thatbdidnt help.
i am now seeing an alternative practitioner who says that he feels, the warfarin is not helping me due to the fact I have anxiety and depression. He feels i ought to try to stop anticoagulants to achieve haemostasis. I see where he is coming from but wonder if anyone on here has just decided to stop warfarin.

I'm sorry, Ann, to hear of your anxiety and depression. I'm also a warfarin lifetimer, I've had 3 DVTs and my mother died of a PE, so with my history I just don't want to risk stopping the warfarin.
I can understand how you feel - I'm in the midst of a great deal of anxiety and feel down a lot at present, but I know it's the breakup of my son's marriage, his three lovely grandsons, and his financial troubles that are causing me to feel this way. With the stress of it all my eczema has gone into overdrive so badly that I now have a couple of small ulcers on my legs, and I feel trapped in a vicious circle. Like you, I've tried alternative medicine which helped in the short term, but I've had to resort to the steroids which I am told are the only effective treatment for the eczema.
I can only suggest that you discuss your situation with your doctor, pharmacist, any qualified medical expert you can find. Hopefully they will get to the bottom of the cause of your problem. Perhaps the symptoms you describe have some other cause. If they feel you need to use anticoagulants, they may help you to find one that is more suitable for you. With every good wish for a better outcome for you, Ann, and peace of mind.

Hi there Ann. It's really frustrating I was told 2.5 years ago that I would be on Warfrin for life and not needed to attend the cardiologist. Before I went on Warfrin I asked the doctor if this medication would stop me returning to work and said it wouldn't but according to occupational health using Warfrin would stop we from doing my job as a police PCSO. I asked if I could stop using the Warfrin and they said it was not advisable. I am now facing the real possibility of losing my employment or being medically retired due to the use of Warfrin and I now wish I never started using Warfrin.
I wish you luck whatever decision you make.
regards
David

i am scared if i go off them i will get some sort of clot as my body is now used to them, then the dr will say is my fault.
original pe came six weeks after back it was definitely provoked by that.
i am sure the fillers in these are some of the problem, do you know the makes that have better fillers even?
i think that these are causing brain damage, as why would i not respond to many anti depressants, something is wrong and i feel it as you say, we know our bodies.
if i say im stopping them dr may put me off her list as they dont like it when you dont follow instructions. Feel totally lost with all this.
