Watery ejaculate following hydrocele
Posted , 2 users are following.
I had a hydrocelectomy 6 weeks ago, I didn't masturbate for 4 weeks until I felt less tender.
I have now started to masturbate (sex life is pretty much zero, wife is menopausal, not much drive either side but I love her to bits!). My reason for masturbation is because it is supposed to be good for prostate health (wife has pointed this out to me, but doesn't want to know how I 'manage' it).
Since the hydrocelectomy my ejaculate has been very watery, almost clear. is this normal? Will it recover?
I did have low sperm count years ago, but my ejaculate is not normally this thin.
I don't want any more kids, just curious about this.

hi, i normally masturbate daily, i had my hydrocelectomy 4 weeks and 2 days ago, been waking up with an erection, but don't see my doctor for 2 weeks..im anxious to try it, but kinda reluctant yet, no pain, had 24 ounce hydrocele, so almost 5 inch insicion. my stuff normally was very thick and large volume, hope its not watery, although i heard first few times it might be, slowly going back to normal.. now, you have me wanting to find out sooner than 6 weeks... I'll surely let you know what happens.

I'll be very interested in what you find.
I abstained for about 4 weeks, normally masturbate 5-6 times a week.

My last session was a bit thicker.
Like you, plenty of volume and power - but I have never had a problem in that respect, the first girl that 'helped' was a bit surprised, especially as it was her first time 'helping' a boy.
Ah, the memories of being a teenager.....

lol, i can relate being that i encountered very similar situations as a teenager, and i too never lacked in volume.. sounds like we are both on the road to recovery! I'm Just thrilled that man's best and closest friend (not a dog,) still is in prime working order.;) i don't know what i would do , or how i could survive if our parts quit working. im very thankful.

yes, thank you interesting, week 6 Thursday i see my surgeon. put reg underwear on today, now dull pain upper left side ache. so. probably go back to the stupid jock strap, then no pain, i bought 4, but they all shrunk after hand washing and drying, so, i only have one that is comfortable keeping my parts in line, how long did y you wear a jock? i still have a tiny bit of a yellowish clear speck once every 12 hours after showering from my insicion which is about 5 inches long. hope that's normal.

I just couldn't get on with a jock, had one immediately post-op, showed them my regular underwear which they said was fine. I normally wear briefs, not huge ones and quite well fitting. The only problem I have found is that some of them have a very uncomfortable centre seam which rubs on the scar. I've found some pairs (of the same make) are better than others, so I select carefully! I did wear some old lycra swim briefs that I found for a while (we call them 'budgie smugglers'), they were OK, no seam, but only got one pair, and at my age I don't wear such things for swimming!
I'm still not able to wear jeans for anything more than an hour or two. They are just too 'rigid' and make me ache. Sweat pants and regular trousers are fine.
Discharge from my drain took nearly 4 weeks to stop, all OK now, but area surrounding the scar does get tender.

thank you, i bought reboock underwear but my junk won't stay in what they call a pouch . and yes horrible seams, i still use a 4x4 sterile pad between my scar and jock. keeps from rubbing.. nothing on my pads the last 2 days. i change it every 12 hours. can't wait to see my doctor Thursday! they sure don't tell you much after the surgery as far as what to expect.im 68 by the way. you've been a great help to me, i appreciate it.;)

Hope all goes well, I'm still on the hunt for underwear without a seam, but everything I saw from a Google search was NOT the kind of thing I would wear (see-through etc...)
It has been good to chat, keep the updates coming, I'm hoping our conversation will be of help to others in the future.

just returned from my surgeon 6 week visit, still some swelling, incision looked great , tiny red ozzing speck from internal stiches. No infections, doc thought it good idea to continue wearing jock and neosporin with pad until last stich healed up, i can return to gym, lawncutting etc. i still have some pulling tugging light pains but nothing serious. i have to see the doctor again in 3 months.
