Watery ejaculate following hydrocele

I had a hydrocelectomy 6 weeks ago, I didn't masturbate for 4 weeks until I felt less tender.

I have now started to masturbate (sex life is pretty much zero, wife is menopausal, not much drive either side but I love her to bits!). My reason for masturbation is because it is supposed to be good for prostate health (wife has pointed this out to me, but doesn't want to know how I 'manage' it).

Since the hydrocelectomy my ejaculate has been very watery, almost clear. is this normal? Will it recover?

I did have low sperm count years ago, but my ejaculate is not normally this thin.

I don't want any more kids, just curious about this.

    Here in the UK I have hod follow-up (apart from nurse review).

    Swelling is almost gone, but the hard 'rib' from the surgery (where they gather up the internal sac) is rubbing on my underwear - 8 weeks post-op now.

    Having PSA tests and follow-up for low flow rate etc as that 'might' have been the initial trigger for this.

    Ejaculate is a bit thicker now.
