We had a roommate move in three years ago, she had a dog who itched and flopped its ears a lot. Our dogs started itching and flopping there ears and then we started itching and getting bit and it never stopped. It comes in cycles, starting with light crawling that seems to be worse at night but happens during the day as well. It intensifies in a day or two and i can feel little pin prick stings as well as crawling and this lasts for a few days intensely with a lack of sleep and scratching all night. It seems to get better for a few days of a less intense relief and then its back and starts all over. It doesn't look like scabies bites or follow the pattern of scabies rash. I have bites focused mainly around my chest neck behind ears and on my face and upper back, they are other places as well but they are focused there and we have scars. The do seem to like areas where clothes are the tightest. Our dogs have scratch marks in ears and around the neck and on the chest and back legs as well.  I have been to the doctor and treated with permethrin and taken the dogs in and treated for mange..numerous skin scrapings have come up negative. The dogs were given a dose of ivermectin injection three different times and we have done Permethrin three times from the dr. as well as got rid of dog beds and soaked them in medicated shampoo. We bagged all our stuff and washed and dried everything before we used and vacummed like crazy and mopped with bleach mixture even the walls numerous times. We have a plastic cover on our bed and pillow cases. We have moved five times since this started and we deep clean everything and treat before we move but its still haunting us..We have tried lintox, permethrin and ivermectin (orally) on the dogs as well as sulfur dips and peppermint tea tree soaks and tried the borax and hydrogen peroxide recipe for dogs. I have made medicine for in there ears used at the same time as well. On us i bought the permethrin for horses and we made our own 5%. We have also tried neem, peppermint, tea tree oil, lavender and sulfur lotion, pastes and soaks. We have tried all these things for a month each and still no resolve. We have a Son on the way in a couple weeks and i have come to terms with the fact that we will not be rid of this mystery mite by then and it scares me to death. I have only been able to do natural oils while pregnant. I bought a microscope and have been taping itchy parts and taping around the dogs at night and our bed and looking at whatever i can try and find under the microscope and nothing... I even do skin scrapes with a razor blade and mineral oil on slides. I am at a loss and feel hopeless. as of late i have been seeing tiny little red pin point marks where the skin is white around it, they are not raised at all though and i am unsure if it is related. I have thought some sort of demodex, bird mite, rat mite or scabies and even bedbugs? I cannot find anything on the microscope. They are relentless and i am about to burn everything we own and bomb the cars and buy all new clothes and treat us all then camp out for a month!! I don't know what else to do. Any input would be helpful. I have attached pics of bites and a strange pattern of worm shaped demodex like shell or casing that might be mite related and a picture of a bite site under microscope.

I have figured out how to deal with this problem after 2 years of trying everything. This is a garden bug having a good time in our skins. I know because I have seen it. It is light brown, surprisingly quite big looking with a flat back. The the only thing that will kill it is Montmorillonite French Green Clay. You can buy it of Amazon, type in , 'Cattier green clay. Put this on your skin, leave for a couple of hours and you will see literally hundreds of them falling off you. It literally dries the bugs out on contact. You can put it in your hair too and you simply wash your hair the following day. The Victorians had this issue with itchy skin too & visited natural spas to rid them of this issue. I think people who like to spend a lot of time outdoors are susceptible to this issue but now you know how to completely cure yourself in as little as a day. Good luck. x

I have had itchy skin, volcano type sores on my body mostly forearms & an itchy scalp for the last 3 years. Its been horrendous, my feet and toes at night were so itchy. The issue was little black mites on my skin. I have exposed where these mites hide. They hide in the skin under your feet and make their way to the rest if your body. That is why these little black mites won't die as they are well protected. The solution is to get rid of all old skin underneath your feet. I have been on one hellish journey but I can honestly say now no more crawling feeling literally everywhere on my body. The solution... Buy Footner exfoliating foot mask from Amazon. It is only about £7 to buy. This will remove all hardened skin on your feet & your skin will feel soft in a few days. This is the time to kill these mites. Every day until your itching stops soak your feet in a good amount of washing up liquid in a bowl of hot water & soak for half hour. Put baby oil all over your feet that will penetrate their skin & kill them - the similar washing up liquid acts in a similar way to penetrate their skin. Keep repeating the process until all thickened skin has gone from your feet. Good luck. x

I have finally worked out what kills these mites on your skin and had a breakthrough today. It has been awful with itchy, crawling skin. I have tried all kinds of products over the last 3 years and nothing has worked like this before. Carbolic soap - the red coloured one. I bought mine off e bay about 18 bars of it for £12. make sure you use it on the soles of your feet too where these mites like to hide. I lathered it on me in the shower all over including my hair. I left it on for about 5 minutes and rinsed off. About 2 hours later I'm seeing dead mites with wings all over my feet. I used it on my dog who is now finally itch free. Little black mites were in his bath water. The Victorians used to use this on their dogs too. I'm confident this problem will be gone within a week. Good luck.

Carbolic soap kills all of these mites. Buy the red carbolic soap. I bought mine off EBay. The mites will die within hours. Use the carbolic soap on your dog too. This is the only thing that will kill these mites completely. i have been searching for the cure for the last 3 years. This has been a breakthrough. All kinds of dead winged mites found on my skin after using this soap. Shower yourself, switch off shower, lather soap all over you & leave for 5 minutes. Rinse off and your skin will feel so clean. Mites will be found dead in a few hours. Good luck. x.

Dear all, I had exactly the same problem and was able to find a solution. For a year and a half, my body was covered in hives, and I suffered from uncontrollable itching. I thought it was scabies, infections, bacteria, etc. Several dermatologists treated me, with no solution at all. I took all kinds of medications, creams, essential oils, ivermectin, topical permethrin, etc., and I kept getting worse. I saw another expert dermatologist who even told me that this condition would last for the rest of my life. I left his office almost in tears.

I don't want to go into detail about how I discovered the solution, as it was almost a miracle, but I can confirm that in my case, the cause was the most unexpected. It was a metal thermal cup from which I drank my tea and coffee every day. The cup, purchased from a top-level online store, met all health standards. That's why I never suspected it. Due to a temporary move from my house, I stopped my routine of drinking my daily tea in that metal cup and noticed after a few weeks that my "disease" was less active. That's when I first became suspicious and decided to completely remove the metal thermal cup from my routine. In two months, this ordeal ended, and the so-called "chronic disease" never returned. After being completely cured, to check if it wasn't a coincidence, I drank tea again for two days in the same metal cup...and the problem returned! I had no more doubts and never used a thermal cup or metal thermoses again. After that, the problem disappeared forever.

I know it seems strange; I was convinced it was a parasite, an infection, or an internal body problem. I can't assure that the metal thermal cup is the cause for everyone. But at least in my case, identifying this was the miracle. And I wanted to share this with you in case it can help. Keep in mind that after completely stopping the use of thermal cups for my hot drink, it took about 2 to 3 months for the hives on my skin to disappear. It's not immediate, which is why it's so difficult to link the metal cup or thermos to the skin problem. While my body was healing, I used CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion, which obviously had nothing to do with my cure but provided relief until the substance released into my body by the metal cup stopped circulating. I hope this post helps others who are suffering the same as I did. Good luck!

    Hi

Wondering if you ever managed to resolve your issue?

Since October I've been having an issue of itching/skin crawling sensations all over my entire body, like yours it's kinda erratic lasting for days and then can calm for a day or so before coming back. I approached my doctors about this whom said it couldn't be scabies as I don't have a rash breakout. I do have parts of my skin which are very spotty, pin dot looking but I couldn't say if it has any relation as I have other areas of my body where my skin is completely fine and clear but still gets the itching.

My GP and Nurse have no idea what it is but blood tests came up with me being Type 2 diabetic and they are under a current assumption that it is the diabetes/high blood sugar causing it but personally I'm not convinced that it is.
