What age were you when you started perimenopause?

Just curious to know. I literally changed overnight at 40. Im 46 and feeling worse than ever these days.

I was on birth control until age 52. When I stopped, no more periods. It was over, so hard to tell. No hot flashes or mood swings. I think it was a good choice for me, but not for everyone.

Me and birth control are not suited at all! I had to come off the pill after 3 years as it was pushing my bp up. I was on the mini pill for 2 months and got pregnant. Had pill injection and gained 4 stone! Tge copper coil which caused haemmorhaging and had to ve removed. Condoms which then split and pregnant again! Now partner has had vasectomy and I dont think about it anymore! But its good to hear you have had success with birth control x

I honestly cannot remember the name. The doc just called it the 28 day pill. I wasn't very aware that there were differences among pills at the time.
