What are you using for vaginal dryness?

Posted , 10 users are following.

I have vaginal dryness now and my doctor gave me a tube of Estrace to try for a month. He said do not use the applicator. I am suppose to use a tiny dab on my finger and apply not too deep. I am a little hesitant to use is since it is estrogen. I would prefer the non-hormonal route.

I see advertised vaginal moisturizers, lubricants, vitamin E suppositories, coconut oil etc., but they either contain too many chemicals or have caused problems in women, like yeast infections or result  in a goopy mess.

Anyone have any success with any of these?

    Hi

i was nervous like you at first..

i use ovestin estriol vaginal ovules via gyno and ovestin cream for the outer bits

said to pop a little cream on vag entrance skin as it thins and causes pain

i cant take HRT .. But had to use these ( they are HRT) as in a horrid discomfort ..

they only treat the dryness and ease urethra dryness etc ..

they dont treat other symptoms or go via liver like oral tablets ..

i been using since sept with great results.

i only use one ovule a week.. ( split in half and use twice weekly)

in between i use premeno duo ( non hormonal ) vaginal ovules, not messy like cream ( again i halve them )

they are from stress no more uk on line  ( premeno duo ovules )

    excellent

I like the description of premeno duo because there are only 3 ingredients-Sodium Hyaluronate, Lactic Acid, and Sodum Lactate.

I am in the US. I guess I can still order from the website you mentioned.

i am trying to avoid parabens and this doesn't seem to have any.

i am 64, and swing between being so dry (everywhere down there) to having sharp pains in the fleshy part (no pains internally) so I read to use lots of KY and it really

has helped. When it wass so dry it became like an itch and I had to scratch but then it would just hurt where i had rubbed so hard. The sharp pains are all in the flesh very peculiar indeed, but as soon as i apply the KY it eases.

Thanks for posting this info. I've just ordered some to try. I usually use Vagifem but that's hormone of course so it will be good to try a natural remedy. Has anyone ever tried Omega 7? It's meant to lubricate from within acting on the mucous membranes or something.

The Omega 7 is news to me. I do see articles and reviews on Amazon that state it helps with vaginal dryness. I wonder if it only is helpful taken orally, or if you can rub some of the oil down there. I'll have to investigate this further to see it's safety record, but it does sound interesting.

I am 62 years old, I went to a naturapthic doctor for vaginal dryness and was given Estriol 1MG vaginal cream, it comes with an applicator. I used 1GM  everyday for 2 weeks then 2 times a week there after. I have been using this for 9 months and am very happy with the results.
