also when I was younger (im 29 now), i think i was like 16, i went to the doctor thinking those spots were some sort of STD, but he told me to leave and started laughing lol. As your hormones change through puberty you develop fordyce spots in your labia minora which is perfectly normal.

sebaceous glands... completely normal. I was worried too but my doctor said they vary in size at times but just glands!! nothing to worry about. if you google "sebaceous glands labia" you'll see its super common and not a disease or disorder, just the same way fordyce "spots" granules are normal but those are more common on men but can be found on women and men, but these are sebaceous glands. p

Hi, there's nothing to be scared of. Fordyce spots are common an harmless. They are almost part of your skin pigmentation. Some people have them on their lips (mouth) too.

They are perfectly normal. I have them as well and can honestly say that not a single person that has been down there in sexual manner has even done a double take, let alone questioned them. I'm gonna assume that you're both virgins, hence the waiting? In that case he's seen no other vaginas first hand that he can compare it with. However, whether that's the case or not, not every vagina is the same and unless he has a medical degree on vaginas, his opinion on them is irrelevant. If he asks a question out of curiosity, don't be shy about answering it. Just be honest. If it's a question regarding something that is common and completely normal and you answer it honestly and assure him that it's common and normal, but he insists on some sort of Dr. appointment, testing, or proof, leave him lol They all have different characteristics to them, just as male genitals do not all look the same either (and these can and do occur on male genitalia as well, which is also common and normal if they are present!). Typically when people are engaging in sexual activities, they don't exactly stop to gaze upon those areas in such a manner, let alone fully spread and examine them. I don't know of a single person that has ever seen a penis/testicles or a vagina and thought how beautiful it was to look at and how they could just stare at its sheer beauty for hours like it's some sort of rare piece of Da Vinci artwork lol. If this man stops to examine your lady bits before hand, run! lmao. I highly doubt that he will stop to check (at least i really hope he doesn't plan to bc that'd be really strange and awkward) and I also highly doubt that he will even notice them at all. When you look to see them, you're moving your labia to see them better I'm assuming, in which case you are probably stretching the skin in a way, that causes them to become much more noticeable. I hope he doesn't decide to grab each side of your labia and spread it full eagle like that for any reason bc again, strange and awkward lol. Also when giving oral, many people don't usually focus down there in that manner but instead focus on the facial expressions and reactions of the partner they are doing it to and this may be TMI, but when they do stop to look down there, its usually for a reason such as to watch the in/out movement of their penis or finger(s), js. The heat and excitement of what is happening in the moment is many times all that's being thought about. As long as you're comfortable with whatever is happening, and if you become uncomfortable for whatever reason, don't be afraid to speak up. Especially if it's your first time in general, but even if it's not a first time overall, but just a first time with that specific person. Don't do anything that you're not comfortable with/ready for. Communicate with each other. I think you'll be perfectly fine girly!
