Hi, for the past month i have been having a cramping and funny sensations in my uterus. i am on the birth control pill and my monthly menstrual didn't come on while on the placebo pills but started a week later (july 20) I decided to go to my obgyn. She ordered a transvaginal ultrasound (july 29) which results was what she said was a "very small" serosal fibroid at the back of my uterus. I have gotten the ultrasound pics and am confused as to where the fibroid is located, what i am seeing doesn't look so small. I am a bit concerned. she told me not to worry but i would like for someone to look at my ultrasound (sagittal uterus/transverse uterus) and tell me what do you see and should i be get a second opinion . image

Thanks,

If you think you need a second opinion, I think your instincts are telling you you need a second opinion.

My ultrasound didn’t give me a picture but it did give me the size of my fibroid. Did they give you any documentation to tell you the size of your fibroid or your uterus?

Hi KimJon thank you for answering, I think that I will get a 2nd opinion my obgyn was more concerned on whether or not i was still continuing on my birth control pills. I am still taking them but I was researching and saw that they could actually cause fibroids to develop and grow because of the increase in estrogen. I do have the size of it which I will attach.image

That looks like good info. When you go to your second opinion you should take all that information with you. That’s what I did. I saw four different doctors before I decided to do uterine fibroid embolization, I’ll be doing it at the end of this month.
